FDA Boehner asks FDA to move Grandfathering date to April 2014 or time of final rule

One other thought on this, if e-cigarettes take over the market with a non-tobacco sourced nicotine the tobacco growers will go under, might be worth pointing this out to the tobacco growing states. Chemically the same but e-cigarettes can't use it.

FDA Boehner asks FDA to move Grandfathering date to April 2014 or time of final rule

They can only be considered tobacco products if the nicotine is sourced from tobacco. If another source is found or someone develops a reasonably priced synthetic nicotine the FDA would have to start over as the courts have already said they cannot regulate it as a drug. Any bets that someone...

FDA The FDA and Pharma: Big Drug's Nicotine War

If you check the publication dates you'll see that this one is the 10 year update on the one Anja found, Hers is from summer 2001. Both are well worth the time to read. I knew that the BP/Foundations/FDA/CDC/Alphabet groups were incestuous but did not realize how deep it was.

Slowing cigarette sales could put Virginia tobacco bond payments at risk

If you want to know who makes the most take home cash from tobacco sales this paragraph from this Forbes article http://www.forbes.com/sites/danielfisher/2014/05/28/philip-morris-international-bets-big-on-the-future-of-smoking/2/ says it all.

FDA FDA changed deadline for signing up to speak at Dec 10/11 e-cigarette workshop, prevents e-cig advocates from speaking

And this is the question that should be asked in every letter to congress and every post on a questionable news story. We are being far too polite to people who are doing their best to bury us trying to maintain their cash flow.

First 5 San Diego is asking awmakers to tax electronic-cigarettes or increase existing taxes on tobacco products.

There is a poll on this one and it needs our votes. Should a sin tax apply to e-cigarettes?

FDA NEW: "...Experimental Studies on Consumer Perceptions of Modified Risk Tobacco Products"

I'm assuming that Modified Risk Tobacco Product has to be on the label somewhere and yet this says you can't inform anyone that it is one. I mean isn't a MRTP by definition less harmful. Don't you just love circular logic and bureaucratic BS.:vapor:

Australian politician exposes the real motivation for tobacco taxes and efforts to ban ecigs

I still think that BG has the most to lose, both in the taxes we wont pay and added medical costs for the extra years we will live. A significantly larger number of us will now live long enough to draw more SS and medicaid. Remember that PMIs CEO said that out of every 20 cigarettes they sell...

Two new papers by Lorillard find no health concerns for ecig vapor

First thing I noticed was they are not hidden behind a pay wall as most of the glANTZ papers are. Must mean they have nothing to fear on how they were conducted. No "science" by press release which means the main stream press will essentially ignore them due to the source.:vapor:
