Johnson Creek Moving to Larger Facility

The letter actually caused me to order more from them even though I didn't need any at the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Icon V1.1 Dead on Arrival

When you press the button, does it bottom out and go flush with the bottom of the tube? If so, you probably need to add a washer under the contact screw. Did your Icon come with one? If not, then the problem is at the adapter end. Check your atomizer, as others posted.

Dept. Of transportation bans e-cigs on airlines

I know. I just didn't want to risk someone misunderstanding and thinking that the vapor won't have any effect at all on the airplane bathroom smoke detectors. :)

I'm not arguing the OPs point. But look at where you go if you accidentally leave the "e" out of puresmoker.com (pursmoker.com).

Prodigy v3.1 metal washer question??? Always firing

Same thing happened to me. Yes, you can remove the washer but don't throw it away. Your next battery might be a few mm shorter (batteries can vary, even among the same brand), and you'll need it. So far, however, I have not used the washer in my V3 for either 6v or 3.7v. I have one set of AW...

Here's one of the threads I was thinking of: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/travel-e-cig/33246-airplanes-vaping-doable-6.html See post 54: And here's another thread, where Steve of Pure Smoker set off the smoke detector in a plane bathroom...

Dept. Of transportation bans e-cigs on airlines

True or not, I have read several reports here that the vapor will set off the bathroom smoke detectors on planes. I might have my technical explanation wrong, but apparently, they use some sort of light sensors and will go off if anything that looks like smoke is blown towards them. I don't know...

Happy V1 Vaper debating on buying V3 Prodigy

I've had and loved the V1, V2, and the V3. Of course, it's only my opinion, but the V3 is, by far, the best of the best. It's smaller than the V1 and looks much better (especially in the Media Blasted finish). It is, however, much heavier than the V1. And I love the bottom button. (I thought I...

    Batteries getting dented

Some people have recommended turning the batteries around with the positive end towards the switch. For me, the best solution was to switch to AW LiFePO4s. They are more consistent in quality than the Tenergys and don't seem to dent.

    V3 sometimes not firing

The next time you order batteries, get some AW LiFePO4s instead of the Tenergys. The AWs are all I use anymore.

    V3 sometimes not firing

Maybe your first screw was wonky? Like maybe one side was a bit higher than the other.

    V3 sometimes not firing

The V3 doesn't have a contact disk like the V1 and V2 had. It's a screw that makes contact with the battery. What type of switch do you have in your V3? The original silver screw with several washers under it or the 3.1 brass screw? If you have the original screw, make sure it's tight and put...

Dept. Of transportation bans e-cigs on airlines

I'd like to know that too. Or is it just conjecture? All I've read has said that their use is prohibited (unless I've missed something). The use of regular cigarettes is prohibited, but you can take them on board with you.

OMG Johnson Creek liquid is nasty!

Same here. I can't get enough of JC Domestic. If I had to choose just one flavor, that would be it. Red Oak Tenn Cured is also great. Then again, I also like their PG JC Original and Tenn Cured and keep those in rotation as well. However, taste is too subjective for anyone to put any stock at...

Maintenance Tips for a New Icon?

I don't use Noalox on any part of my Icon (or V3) anymore. The new brass screws don't need it, and it just attracts dust and dirt when used on the threads.

Batteries and casing getting really hot and fast

It's most likely one of two things: your spring has become either loose or warped and is touching the side of the tube, or your atty is shorting out. I suspect it's your atty doing it. So since you've replaced it, you should be fine. But just to be safe, double-check your spring to make sure...

    teeth

I use darker colored juices exclusively -- Johnson Creek Red Oak Domestic and Tenn Cured -- and have had no problems with stains. I've had 3 cleanings since I switched to vaping, and those visits have been progressively easier.
