    PureSmoker Protege & Janty Stick

I don't understand the "bad press" because, like I said, PS had been nothing but great to me. Yes, I've had some questions and minor issues along the way. And, for every ticket I've opened with them, each response (usually coming within a few hours) has been helpful, professional, and...

    PureSmoker Protege & Janty Stick

I'm glad to see this thread. I have had nothing but very positive experiences with PureSmoker. Their level of customer service, at least for me, has been excellent. And the Prodigy V2 and Protege are simply gorgeous. yanks, I know what you mean about 5v ruining the 3.7v experience. Fortunately...

How does the o-ring go on the protege switch?

I didn't have to modify it. When I tried it again, I was getting the same result as the night before: when I inserted the switch into the tube, I felt I could no longer press the button. It seemed stuck. But I did the tongue test, and it was working. It took almost no pressure to activate...so...

Just what I think of the Prodigy V2

I discovered that too. I posted about it in another thread somewhere. The attys don't die (at least for me); I get plenty of vapor from the Protege. But I just get zero throat hit after using one on the V2 and then putting it on the Protege. So I just have dedicated attys for each. Same here...

    Just ordered my Protege :)

Congrats. Hope you love it as much as I do mine. :)

How does the o-ring go on the protege switch?

I finally got the #60s to work in mine too. And it works great!

Protege 14500 batteries blue vs. purple

buGG, I did try that. But I discovered, as J4 pointed out, there's a lip inside the tube that prevents the battery from going any further up towards the contact switch. So the extension has to come from the other end. The battery bodies are the same height. It's the very top (contact point) of...

    Protege V1.1 Coming Soon ...

Well good gracious. I just tried to place an order for a backup Protege V1 but couldn't because the 510 adapter isn't available. So I come here and see this. hmmmm.... I guess I'll have to go with this one and relegate my current Protege as the backup. I'll be watching for the presale to go up. :D

    Just got a Prodigy V2 (510)

I've yet to lose an atty with a Prodigy (V1 or V2). Have I just jinxed myself? I have resurrected one that I had put into the dead atty graveyard using my V2. I'm using 510s. I am intrigued with all the buzz about the BE112s. But I've stockpiled about 2 years' worth of 510s. So I think I'm set...

Protege 14500 batteries blue vs. purple

I'm satisfied that's the problem. I didn't try the staple trick since it would require taking out the switch every time I change the battery. So here's what I did: I took the switch out and pulled the bottom contact out a few mm. I then wound floss around it and pushed it in some so the switch...

Protege 14500 batteries blue vs. purple

Yeah. I mean, I looked at the bottom contact and saw that it's there. LOL. I'll take it apart and tinker with it some more this weekend. It's still working on the blue batteries. That's the most important thing. Gotta have it for my work days in the office. So I'll leave well enough alone for now.

Protege 14500 batteries blue vs. purple

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, I don't have another mod or any other device that takes the 14500 battery. And all I have is the 510 adapter. I did try the tongue test and got nothing. So that leads me to believe it's not the 510. There's just got to be something not making good...

    Just got a Prodigy V2 (510)

Congrats on your V2. Glad you like it. I love mine; I've had it almost two weeks now. From my experience with attaching the attys, all you have to do is screw them in until they're snug and then do about a final quarter turn. What PS means by too tight is continuing to screw it in after you've...

Protege 14500 batteries blue vs. purple

I have a weird situation. I have a Protege 510 adapter, mechanical switch. I'm using the original blue Tenergy 14500 batteries in my Protege just fine. I ordered a second backup pair a few weeks ago from PureSmoker. They are purple. Otherwise, they look the same. The purple ones will not...

How does the o-ring go on the protege switch?

So can someone confirm that the #60 o-ring works on the Protege? I put one on my V2, and it's working beautifully. I put one on my Protege, and I can't press the button. It looks like the o-ring is stopping the button from entering the housing. I assume there are no other mods that need to be...

    Prodigy V2 Question

Sorry to expose my ignorance. But is oxgard different from noalox? I have some noalox but am wondering, if I want to try this, do I need to get something else.

    not happy with protege ;(

I've had my Protege since last September and still absolutely love it. The only time I had a problem was when the original tact switch died on New Years Eve. I ordered a mechanical switch and haven't had a single issue since. For the threads, folks in the PureSmoker subforum have recommended...

    My Atty Resurrection Method

I just wanted to add my thanks for this thread, highping. I'd been throwing my old unusable attys in a zip-lock baggie just in case there came a day I would discover a way to revive them. And then I found your thread. I took one out that's been in the atty graveyard for about 4 or 5 months and...
