    Welcome

Hi everyone. I thought this was as good a place as any to introduce myself to the group, even though I've been an ECF member for well over a year. I'm Greg (as evidenced by the unimaginative screen name). I have a partner of over 22 years and work in Healthcare IT. I love electronic gadgets...

Need some help....what does true 3.7 volt device mean?

To add to what Cash said, the reason the 14500 batteries are an advantage over the eGo is that, not only are they cheaper, but they are user replaceable. All rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge cycles during their useful life. With the Icon, you simply replace the batteries...

    One year with the prodigy

Great report. And it should come as no surprise that I'm in complete agreement with everyone else's sentiments here. The V3 is the best. No contest.

The biggest downside from my experience is you're paying more for the prefilled cartomizers. So you're not really getting anything 'free'. Having said that, some vendors might have a really good price on prefilled. In that case, a potential downside is that you just need to make sure the...

+1. It shouldn't be a problem having those in your checked luggage. It's just that batteries (for any device) are a no-no in checked bags. And like another poster said, it's better to have your actual device with you to keep your eyes on it and be able to explain it rather than being at the...

Low Resistance Dual Coil carto's at 6 volts.

Taste - very acceptable. I get more flavor from dripping into my 306s/510s. But the flavor was on par with what I normally get from cartos. Longevity - hard to say. I'm using a very thick VG, and it takes about 4 days before they're so clogged that they don't perform very well. I haven't popped...

Low Resistance Dual Coil carto's at 6 volts.

I do. :) 6v is really the only voltage I enjoy the dual coils at. They didn't do anything for me at lower voltages. They take too long to heat up, and the draw is a bit stiffer. Use a drip tip, though, because the carto can get pretty hot if you hold the button in too long.

If it turns out that the OPs batteries are, indeed an 808, I recommend getting blank cartos and liquid. It'll be much cheaper and satisfying. Blank KR808 cartos should run about a dollar each. (At least they did when I was using them about a year ago.)

Put everything in your carry-on, and you'll be fine. If you have liquids, put them in your quart baggie with the rest of your liquids so the TSA agent can see it. For the rest of your gear, organize it into baggies. For example, if you have a lot of gear, put chargers/cords in one baggie and...

Just by looking at the connector end of their carts, it looks like an 808. Maybe someone with direct knowledge of this company can confirm.

Are PV's as smelly as real cigs?

Hi Emi. Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping. To your question: yes, there is a huge difference in the smell. Vaping leaves no lingering smell at all. Unless someone sees you actually doing it, they will not know you're a vaper. Now that I've been smoke-free for over 2 years, I can pick a...

LR Dual Coil Cartos @ 6v?

I have been using one for about 3 days at 6v and haven't had any problems. I had first tried them at 3.7v and didn't care for them. They seemed to take too long to heat up and didn't provide enough of a kick for me. But they come alive at 6v. The only drawback is they go through the liquid very...

    The V3 at 5V !!!!!

With two washers, the button no longer bottoms out. But the top of the battery isn't making contact with the adapter. I think it's because the top is flat. Don't the V3 and Icon require nipple-top batteries? I have some battery magnets somewhere. I'll try to dig those out later.
