There's your problem. Ditch nickel and buy some 24 and 26 ga Titanium wire (Unkamen supplies for 26ga and jewelry suppliers on Ebay for 24 ga). If your mod supports it, buy some 316/317 stainless steel wire too. -

I use STM's too. With 24 gauge, try a 2.5mm bit with 6 wraps slightly spaced. Should come out to around 1.8-1.9Ω. I like mine between 450-470F. -

Choices for good TC capable RTAs
Haven't had any issue with mine, though I do have a V3. It's an OK tank that I use whenever I want to blow a cloud, but I still hit my subtank minis more often. I still haven't found a tank with better flavor than the good old STM's. Many have tried, many have failed.
