    Serpent RTA by WOTOFO

How does the Serpent compare to the subtank mini in terms of flavor? I've vaped a lot of tanks and I still think the little old subtank is the best there is.

    Aromamizer RDTA by Steam Crave

As soon as Steam Crave gives us a version with a flat top and a real stainless steel AFC ring, I will be all over this. In the meantime, I want to thank the rest of you for being my beta tester.

    Svoemesto Kayfun Mini V3

Which is a huge deal for a lot of people. Even Busardo (Kayfun's #1 fan) complains about how crappy it is with temp control because there's simply too many moving parts in between the pin and the coil (as the guy above said, it's over-engineered). That's what stopped me from buying one. I...

    WISMEC Reuleaux RX200 TC

Either that or they are using overpriced designer wires that aren't commercially pure (*cough* SSV *cough*).

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

I am sure this is well known to most, but for noobs: Rio Grande offers 50 ft. spools for $10. That's the best price I've seen for (USA made) Grade 1 Ti wire. The drawback is they only offer 24 gauge. Unkamen offers all gauges from 12-32. Their prices vary by gauge (26 AWG is $10 for 35...

It's time for a DNA 200. But which one..?

I just got a VT200 and love it. Not the biggest battery but not the smallest. It is much smaller in the hand than I envisioned before I ordered it. Moreover, if you don't mind not having warranty service from HCigar, then you can buy them dirt cheap from ecig.com and other vendors who are...

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

Thanks, Duane. I agree the Ti02 issue is overblown. Everyone freaks out because IARC labels TiO2 as a "possible carcinogen" even though the literature they reviewed for their assessment clearly shows there is no evidence that TiO2 exposure increases cancer risks in humans. They are basing it...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Yeah those values (except for 430) are different from steam-engine's.

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

According to SE, it's TCR is higher than 316, slightly lower than 304, and quite a bit lower than 430. This would make 316 the least accurate of the common SS wires.

    XCube II SS Coefficient

Steam-engine says the TCR for 316L is .000879. The guy who runs SE doesn't provide sources for his info, but he seems to be pretty well versed.

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Thanks, guys. I just ordered a spool of 430 and a spool of 317L. 430 has the highest TCR of the readily available stainless steels. 317L has a higher TCR than both 316 grades, but lower than 304. If 317L works well in temp control mode, then I will probably find myself using it most since...

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

Duane, since you're one of the most scientifically adept posters on ECF (especially in materials science), I want to ask a few questions. You may or may not have answered some of these already in this mammoth thread, but I feel it would be nice to have some of your knowledge condensed. 1) With...

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

I agree. I have been on a strict Ti vaping diet for months now. And I plan on sticking with it until the scientists say I shouldn't. I do have some 317L and some 430 wire on order, though. Plan on checking those out.

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

I am not saying Kanthal is bad at all. It does have excellent resistance to high heat (that's what it is made for) but who knows, on a microscopic level, how much of the metal is breaking off at 400-600F after repeated use or after 1000+F dry burning. I suspect none of these wires are very...

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

The thing that always gets me about the whole Ti safety debate is people don't seem bothered to dry fire Kanthal at well over 1000F and then continue vaping on it for weeks. In reality we have no idea what sorts of things kanthal (or any other wire) is putting out once you heat it to those...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

So I am curious if anyone uses 430 SS and how it holds up over time compared to other wires. According to data sheets, 430 is supposed to be less corrosion resistant than 304/316 but its pitting and crevice corrosion resistance is about the same as 304. It can be used up to 1600F in...

    KangerTech SUBTANK Mini

Yeah I bought one of the glass bell caps from sweet vapes and broke it the first day. I didn't drop it but about 3 feet off my desk (onto a soft floor) but it still broke. I have a bunch of the Fasttech acrylic bellcaps, but they melt after a while. It takes it a few weeks/months, but all of...

    KangerTech SUBTANK Mini

If you are a mouth to lunger or like moderate lung hits, then I don't think it's possible to beat the STM. All of these expensive designer tanks out there and none of them are as good (all around) imo. Kayfuns are good, but the STM has better flavor and produces more vapor. All of these dual...

    Kanger TopTank Mini

An update to the subtank mini. Looks like they are using the toptank nano's design and giving us a 22mm atty which is also compatible with the RBA head. They are also coming out with clapton coils for it. From Google: I have other tanks, but I still find myself coming back to my subtank...
