    Don't forget about Watts Law

Coil resistance makes no difference at all in regard to amp draw on a regulated mod. This is the point I think OP was trying to get across. All you need to know on a regulated mod is the following simple equation: I = P / V (Amps = Power / Voltage) You take your set power and divide it by...

    Eleaf iStick 100w TC

So been using my iStick TC100 for a few days now. I am enjoying it as a backup to my DNA-200 (which needs to be charged midday). The battery life is nice and I can go at least a day (chain vaping). One con I have noticed is it gives a low battery warning starting at about 25% and wont fire...

A Question for Any Electrical Engineers (or experts in electronics)

Makes sense. I had read before that bucking was more efficient than boosting, so that would explain it.

A Question for Any Electrical Engineers (or experts in electronics)

(Mods I put this in "General" to reach a wider audience. If you feel it needs to be moved, that's fine.). I have often wondered something about batteries. I can do the math, but since I am not a trained EE who understands these circuits at a more fundamental level, I feel I am missing...

Temperature Control is truly the way to go. And EVic VTC Mini >> Koopor

They are the same device. The one with the Tron, I believe, comes with more updated firmware (but you can upgrade the firmware on all of them). And Joyetech makes SS coils. Not sure if they do for the Tron/Ego One or not, but they do for other tanks.

Temperature Control is truly the way to go. And EVic VTC Mini >> Koopor

If you're worried about the low ohms of nickel, just use Ti or SS (I recommend Ti for accuracy).

Temperature Control is truly the way to go. And EVic VTC Mini >> Koopor

Ohms don't really matter on regulated devices.

    Stainless Steel capable mods

Vaporflask used to be a high-end device. $300 or there abouts (which was inflated no doubt because it was made in USA). They used DNA-40 and SX350J boards exclusively. Their partnership with Wismec was supposed to bring the cost down significantly, which it did. Now they use Joyetech boards...

75W Vaporesso TARGET 2 VTC Kit with Ceramic cCELL Coil

I've got a target and a pack of coils in the mail. Sweetvapes apparently ran out of them and delayed my order. I hope the Ni coils don't suck because that's what I bought.

    Eleaf iStick 100w TC

Got my iStick 100W TC in the mail about 10 minutes ago. Threw a battery in it (still waiting on my new married batteries in the mail) and am vaping on it now. This thing is beautiful (I got the white one). Really impressed with the design, especially for the money. The squeezable fire...

iStick TC40W fire button starting to miss…repair?

Honestly these devices are throw-away devices (like most all of electronics). It will probably be much less of a headache just to buy a new one, tbh. You could try unscrewing the housing and taking a look, but I wouldn't bother wasting a lot of time with it if there isn't a simple fix.

    Joyetech Cubis

Ok, so I bought a pack of new coils for my Cubis and was playing around with the TCR values some more. I have came to the conclusion that the Cubis "316L" coils are really 430 SS. I thought at first they might be 304 (TCR = .00105), but I tried that and it's still far too anemic on the...

    Vaping on Lead Wire

So, has anyone heard about the redditor who made a post saying he was new at rebuilding and found some lead wire laying around and built a coil with it? (lead, as in the stuff they put in bullets, old paint and gasoline prior to the 1970's). Anyway he asked reddit if this was OK to do and, of...

    Eleaf iStick 100w TC

Got a white mod and a white target tank. I am anxious to give it a try. I really wish Vaporesso had Ti or SS coils, though.

    Eleaf iStick 100w TC

I think the Joyetech/Eleaf mods are the best budget mods right now. If a single battery mod is fine, go with the Evic VTC mini. If you need a dual battery mod, go with the Cuboid or iStick 100w TC. If you want to use an internal battery (like the old iStick 50), look at Innokin's stuff...

    Eleaf iStick 100w TC

Yeah, that's true assuming the parallel circuit draws amperage from both batteries evenly. I am not clear on whether that is the case or not. You always hear "parallel doubles battery capacity" and series "doubles voltage." But, you're right that the math works out the same. A series mod...
