They are the same device. The one with the Tron, I believe, comes with more updated firmware (but you can upgrade the firmware on all of them). And Joyetech makes SS coils. Not sure if they do for the Tron/Ego One or not, but they do for other tanks. -

If you're worried about the low ohms of nickel, just use Ti or SS (I recommend Ti for accuracy). -

Honestly these devices are throw-away devices (like most all of electronics). It will probably be much less of a headache just to buy a new one, tbh. You could try unscrewing the housing and taking a look, but I wouldn't bother wasting a lot of time with it if there isn't a simple fix. -

I think the Joyetech/Eleaf mods are the best budget mods right now. If a single battery mod is fine, go with the Evic VTC mini. If you need a dual battery mod, go with the Cuboid or iStick 100w TC. If you want to use an internal battery (like the old iStick 50), look at Innokin's stuff... -
