Sorry I couldnt answer all of your concerns myself in regards to the Kiln process but I have never been one to give uneducated information or advice... but there is no reason you cant try a small portion of the Nextel using the torch and soak method... I have used a stove burner to heat treat...
Soon GGTS will have VV or VW and this is the only thing a Provari can do that a GGTS cant.... but only GGTS has Draw Control and once you go draw control your Provari will be nothing more than a very expensive way to test ohms & batteries... at least until the P&P comes to market... but a $15.00...
Well to be honest the friend of mine who does this for me uses whats known as a knife makers kiln and can be purchased on eBay for around $300.00 if you want one yourself... I asked him about the temp specs and time frame and those were the numbers he gave me for his process... Hopefully he will...
Well first you prepare Nextel just how you stated....unless you have access to a kiln in which case you fire it between 1652f/1724f for one hour and allow it to cool as the kiln cools basically over night... at least thats how my Nextel gets fired which is highly recommended over torch & soak...
Right on guys... glad its working out for you and your enjoying it... Keep up the good vape... and to be honest my wick method came from a time when there were no spare ceramics available yet and I wanted to use my Nextel without taking the chance modding the ceramic and breaking it... so really...
The problem there is the Button itself... you may be able to shave 1mm moving the button closer to the base but it wouldnt leave much room for machining.... the battery post needs to be as long as it is to make contact... the only way to change this would be to make GGTS a bottom button or...
RUSH fan I take it??? great number one of my favorite songs and albums... hope you get it but I believe I read that the first batch will only be about 2000 units...
I understand it is a great medium and useful in many ways... but I did not like the feel of it on my wrist at all and dont think I would like my PV made of it either... just my opinion lots of people like titanium, carbon fiber is also pretty popular but not my style either...
I love my GGTS/ODY base and 2nd the idea to have a Penelope/Proteus Base if possible... I dont ever want to use another Chinese 510 adapter again if possible... lets keep GG 100% Greek perfection...
The best part about making your own coils is the ability to experiment with different ohms @ different voltages to find your perfect sweet spot at the cost of ruffly .25 cents a piece... not to mention the ability to adjust as your tastes change be it HV or LV with more throat hit less throat...
I just wanted to lay out your options as best I could for you to help you make an informed choice... Stealth is 69mm in length and Proteus is to be 93mm in length the difference is less than an inch in length... and from my experience because of Draw Control there isnt any other mod worth even...
the GGTS is essentially a Stealth with draw control and telescope feature and by using the 18350 size battery in the GGTS although slightly longer than the Stealth by a couple mm a very small unit.... the benefit over the stealth as stated before is the Draw Control but you will also have the...
Friendly advice go ahead and buy a full GGTS... I know that soon after you get your stealth you will be wanting to upgrade... Draw Control is amazing and once you have it nothing else will satisfy....
