    Next time Supes you don't have to run the mandrel through the coil. You can also lightly scrape it across the outside of the coil - kinda like strumming a guitar. It has the same effect of breaking the surface tension between each coil.

    My only concerns are the cracks and movement inside the wood. But looking at the block where the tight burl patterns are, It seems a good half of it just "might" work. If Pdib okays it, I'll be more than happy to split with you.
