    How 'bout naming it the Idril? Short and easy to remember - association with modding (eg. drilling holes for switches, connectors, etc.). Plus, hey, it means "sparkling brilliance" and lets you fly your LOR geek flag a little. ;)

    Digikey carries 18650 battery holders. You'd have to find a box to fit them in though. You're probably better off sticking with flashlights.

    I don't think I can be as blithe as you seem to be, Mosh. It is much easier to get a law enacted than it is to get one repealed. I'm aware of several laws on the books that are blatently unconstitutional, but no one (no one in power, anyway) seems to care enough to do anything about it.
