A noobs third tank. The GeekVape Griffin RTA

Picture time. My build with wicking. The vapor output at 70w. This thing is indeed, a beast.

A noobs third tank. The GeekVape Griffin RTA

I'm running the exact same mod.

A noobs third tank. The GeekVape Griffin RTA

Damn, that's a lot of juice. Although the tank is smaller than it looks because of the size of the chimney. From what I've read, my fused claptons should use more (although I'm not sure, since I'm running at a low wattage for them) juice. I don't like how they seem to retain their heat for...

A noobs third tank. The GeekVape Griffin RTA

So, it finally arrived. As did my Nitecore D4 Charger. Took my batteries 6 hours to charge, and then I waited another hour to let them rest before firing up the Griffin RTA for the first time. Right now, I'm running twin fused clapton coils. 24 gauge with 32 gauge wrapped around it. four wraps...

This poll is for former smokers who quit with the help of e-cigarettes

I have not yet quit traditional smoking 100%. There are still certain activities, eating, using the restroom, etc. For which I need a cigarette. I'm working to quit these particular habits. So far though, I've gone from two packs a day, (100's) to 5 cigarettes a day. Definitely an improvement.

    Geekvape Griffin RTA!

Would it be okay for me to make my own review thread of this in the same section of the forum?

    Geekvape Griffin RTA!

DAYUM. I wish I'd gotten that deal.

    Geekvape Griffin RTA!

It is for mine. Which is fine because I plan on keeping it wide open anyways.

    Geekvape Griffin RTA!

Just got mine in, along with my NiteCore D4 charger. Already got two fused Claptons in it, just waiting for my batteries to charge.

    Zephyrus V2, a noobs experience

So, After some time with the Zephyrus, I have encountered some issue. The Deck isn't nearly big enough for fused clapton or other fancy coil builds. At least not as far as I can manage. Even with the inner diameter at 1.5mm, I still have the fail-to-fire with a reading of "Atomizer Short" on my...

    Clapton Coil question

Upped it to 60w. Fires a lot faster, but still a bit warm for me. Actually, it hits more like a cig now. Awesome.

    Geekvape Griffin RTA!

I wish I'd seen this before buying my Zephyrus V2. I mean, I like it but the RBA deck just doesn't have enough room imho (my sausage fingers probably have something to to with that lol). Putting this on my "must buy" list. Thank you @mtbason35

What Is Your "Go To" Build?

After my first successful fused clapton, fused claptons. The hit they give me is a nearly perfect analogue to a cigarette. Which is what I have been looking for since I started vaping.

    Subtank RBA builds? show em!

Luckily I've passed the Kanger off to my sister. Am now using the Zephyrus V2. Got a single fused clapton in there for the moment. 1.5mm diameter. Seems to be working well. I'm happy to see I was right about more complex coils that require higher power. Now I can finally hit my vape like a cig...

    Clapton Coil question

Finally managed to get a fused clapton in there. Took some finagling and re-sizing but it's in there. Came out at .16 ohms, running at 30w. Not sure if I see much of a difference with normal claptons, although that could be because I'm using menthol liquid and the flavor is already ridiculously...

    Clapton Coil question

So, I took some advice from this video And used some fishing swivels I had in my bug out bag to make about three feet of fused clapton wire. Incidentally, I've already used 100 feet of 32 gauge Kanthal. Good thing I bought an extra 100ft roll. And the video is dead on about buying high...

    Zephyrus V2, a noobs experience

My first (successful) clapton coil in the new RTA. I tried some fused clapton coils but I appear to be having some kind of problem with them. They work for a few burns while I'm re-positioning them, then suddenly, before I've wicked them or put the chimney on, they stop reading and I get...

    Clapton Coil question

So, I managed to create a normal clapton coil. Single core of 24 gauge, wrapped with 32 gauge. It seems to be working just fine. Gives a reading of .45 ohms. Running it at 30w. Holy god does this thing throw some vapor. Not sure what the issue is when I try to do a fused clapton. I've got...

    Zephyrus V2 Clapton build.

Good to know. Is that a single core clapton, or dual core? I've been trying to get a fused clapton to fit inside my Zephyrus V2 but so far it barely fits. Thinking that I'm going to have to go with single core claptons in order to make things work.

    Clapton Coil question

The only other mod I have is an eLeaf iStick 50w, which has the same limitations (other than total wattage) as this Wismec Reuleaux RX200. Sadly, I don't have an ohm meter. I've basically just been guessing when wrapping coils since I'm using regulated mods. If something isn't right, they just...
