So, it finally arrived. As did my Nitecore D4 Charger. Took my batteries 6 hours to charge, and then I waited another hour to let them rest before firing up the Griffin RTA for the first time. Right now, I'm running twin fused clapton coils. 24 gauge with 32 gauge wrapped around it. four wraps... -

I have not yet quit traditional smoking 100%. There are still certain activities, eating, using the restroom, etc. For which I need a cigarette. I'm working to quit these particular habits. So far though, I've gone from two packs a day, (100's) to 5 cigarettes a day. Definitely an improvement. -

So, After some time with the Zephyrus, I have encountered some issue. The Deck isn't nearly big enough for fused clapton or other fancy coil builds. At least not as far as I can manage. Upped it to 60w. Fires a lot faster, but still a bit warm for me. Actually, it hits more like a cig now. Awesome.- TrikStari

I wish I'd seen this before buying my Zephyrus V2. I mean, I like it but the RBA deck just doesn't have enough room imho (my sausage fingers probably have something to to with that lol). Putting this on my "must buy" list. Thank you @mtbason35 -
What Is Your "Go To" Build?

Subtank RBA builds? show em!
Luckily I've passed the Kanger off to my sister. Am now using the Zephyrus V2. Got a single fused clapton in there for the moment. 1.5mm diameter. Seems to be working well. I'm happy to see I was right about more complex coils that require higher power. Now I can finally hit my vape like a cig...- TrikStari

Clapton Coil question
Finally managed to get a fused clapton in there. Took some finagling and re-sizing but it's in there. Came out at .16 ohms, running at 30w. Not sure if I see much of a difference with normal claptons, although that could be because I'm using menthol liquid and the flavor is already ridiculously...- TrikStari

So, I took some advice from this video And used some fishing swivels I had in my bug out bag to make about three feet of fused clapton wire. Incidentally, I've already used 100 feet of 32 gauge Kanthal. Good thing I bought an extra 100ft roll. And the video is dead on about buying high...- TrikStari

My first (successful) clapton coil in the new RTA. I tried some fused clapton coils but I appear to be having some kind of problem with them. They work for a few burns while I'm re-positioning them, then suddenly, before I've wicked them or put the chimney on, they stop reading and I get... -

So, I managed to create a normal clapton coil. Single core of 24 gauge, wrapped with 32 gauge. It seems to be working just fine. Gives a reading of .45 ohms. Running it at 30w. Good to know. Is that a single core clapton, or dual core? I've been trying to get a fused clapton to fit inside my Zephyrus V2 but so far it barely fits. Thinking that I'm going to have to go with single core claptons in order to make things work.- TrikStari

The only other mod I have is an eLeaf iStick 50w, which has the same limitations (other than total wattage) as this Wismec Reuleaux RX200. Sadly, I don't have an ohm meter.
