Main one being the number of affordable mainstream mods that hit the market. Squonkers for $25 that work as good (or better) as a Reo and VW devices for $30 and up.
Then there are the other places where people don't try to get new prices for used...

Most of my attys are 3-5 years old and I haven't had any problems. The majority of the newer atty's are made to withstand a lot more heat. Be wary of the super cheap clones...

Go with that. It's a solid battery mod and you can always try out different tanks or atty's on it You're going to want lower nic juice though. Switching to sub ohm tanks I went down to 3-6mg from using 18-24mg. High VG juice in a sub ohm = plenty cloudy.

People have also said some devices were a fad back in 2011 that have become very mainstream.
I personally have nothing against any device that helps someone stop inhaling burning leaf. If pod systems are the gateway device, so be it.
