Nice!
I have a few of these I've modded so far and some yet to be touched.
What I do is cut off the top plastic part leaving the plastic threaded part in the aluminum tube. An eGo battery connector fits in there pretty good. I soldered a washer to the eGo connector to make the negative...
That adapter is well worth it. I've ben using the drilled out 701 mouthpiece to make adapters for almost a year. They just don't compare.
Now we just need a shorter tube for dripping. 3/4" long should do nicely.
I've only used the MAP tanks with the CE2 carto's so I can only speak for that one. It works well. They all have their quirks with the carto's and wicking and require some trial and error to get the hang of.
Before making a decision on a tank, I'd suggest trying out the different carto's they...
What rolygate said is entirely true.
However...
You'd be hard pressed to find a vaper who does this. If you maintain your batteries properly, chances of this happening are pretty slim.
I liken it to carrying a Butane lighter in my pocket. I KNOW they have exploded and seriously...
I'ma try to be there but my buddy's band is playing out the night before so... We all know how that can go.
G-Tanks should be here long before then I would think.
I've had a couple of those eGo pcb's for a while but haven't done anything with them yet.
I'd discard the tube and get something like this: Emergency AA Battery Charger for Cell Phone LED Light | eBay
I've put eGo connectors on a few of those so far. There are even smaller ones available...
I like it!
I used that box as well but I removed the screw posts and put a pair of 16340's side by side with the meter above them. I used the mad vapes VV kit though so while it was easier to fit, it's not as good.
Part 1: If it has to be carto's I'd pick Smok Tech dual coil mega cartos. Those would look rather strange on an 808 battery though. In which case the regular dual coils would do.
I also consider 808 carto's to be right up there among the best. Especially the "premium" versions. They're just...
I'd stay away from using mothers on anything coated.
This should work pretty good. Cheap and can be found at Ace hardware and probably home depot and lowes.
Noalox on the battery is about all you can do. There's basically just a pinpoint of contact on the positive post of the battery. Noalox makes that point larger.
Unfortunately, mechanical mods don't give quite as strong a punch as mods with a good old fashion switch. It's the nature of the beast.
