    One final update to those that are interested. Turns out.. not only are the batteries bad but they are FAKE.... just like the ones in the video .... rebranded low quality B&K 750 mAh. Hairball, you hit it right on the nose.

    firhill Wow, thanks for that info. Evidently I have a V.1. It has the brass 901 connector in the center of the head and a deep well. Also the endcap threads are fine threads. And the battery end has no hole in it. I must have a new button because it is all stainless steel. No plastic...

    Sounds like it might be a 901. I've just tried my first 901 yesterday and I'm blown away by the vapor and flavor. Makes me wonder how and why it works different than a 510. I mean... I thought it was just a thread difference but the voltage etc was the same. Not the 901. I can even taste...

    Looks like the batteries are legit. Black battery with orange and red flames. Can't see any way to peel off the "label" without tearing apart the battery.

    I'll check em out. The deal is they test 4.2-4.3 volts on the meter when charged. They seem to cave under load. IDK. Not an expert. But the Ultrafires don't seem to have a problem.
