aaa - you got me right. I'm very much a layman here.

    USB mod with pneumatic switch

I agree with Bastage - unscrewing the atomiser from the battery I'm not that interested in trying - sorry AAA. Your info is interesting but I can't (yet) think of a way I could use it. I'm not careful enough not to set my house on fire after putting down a half unscrewed e-cig only for it to...

    E-Turbo ..my new invention....

There is also an additional business angle to a reliable e-cig product. I was recently talking to a good friend of mine who runs a village pub. He has lost a lot of business due to the smoking ban and was asking my advice on stocking e-cigs. It lead to an interesting conversation and the...

    E-Turbo ..my new invention....

Jim - I think you're close to an excellent business model and appreciate your reasons for wanting a local benefit. I wish out own entrepreneurs thought the way you are now doing. Pricing will always leave some unhappy - yet (in the UK) it doesn't stop them shelling out £6+ ($9+) a day for a...

    E-Turbo ..my new invention....

Hope the testing progresses well and glitches are soon resolved. The price seems very reasonable.

    E-Turbo ..my new invention....

The best of luck with this Jimldk - adapting existing products seems a very sound approach. To me, the product is attractive but even better thought out - solving battery and atomiser problems in one. Some won't like vaping-by-wire but this doesn't bother me at all. I'll be putting off...

    whos parents smoked?

Sorry to hear that Dnakr. I once was told that ex-smokers would completely recover after around 10 years - don't know if it was nonsense. Perhaps once emphysema is diagnosed the best you can hope for is damage limitation. I've a friend who quit a couple of years ago after the same diagnosis...

    "Let me try it"

I keep mouthpieces/carts - at work and in my cig-case. At first it was because I thought I'd need them. I haven't. Be careful about hygiene - carelessness isn't worth the worry it can cause. Though the risks of 'sharing' are small they are very easy avoid. Enjoy your e-cig.

    DSE901 - Am I doing something wrong?

I expect Shawn's response is the right one. Batteries loose charge whether used or not. When you put the battery in the charger did the light turn red? If yes, your battery wasn't fully charged.

Any Australians wishing to join in on a BULK order direct from the factory.

You think that evidence! And what is "Dame Edna Everage"??! The western world hasn't been sure of gender identity since!

Interesting question. I doubt it has been posed before! There are people here who'd probably want "your bits" for their latest soldering experiment.

Preparing for the Possible Ban on E-cigs

Thanks Tony - I often find half my post written an hour later than the first half.

Using atomisers sequentially is a good idea. If you swap them you risk them all likely dying at around the same time.

Preparing for the Possible Ban on E-cigs

Tony - I agree with most of what you say. As to "dramatic action" - I expect you're right if you're talking about new laws. There are quite enough laws on the statute books that can be used already.

Preparing for the Possible Ban on E-cigs

They've not done it with alcohol DC and I've some sympathy with concerns about marketing strategies in this area. I don't see it as there being a hostile world looking to ban everything - though at times I'm driven to doubt. I once had to fix my daughter's computer after her downloading a...

    A question for women (#2)

My theory is that these e-cigs are fiddly and younger people are more prepared to manage the technology. But - I'm just guessing ;). You're quite right Kate - if the polls get people talking then they're worthwhile.

A Thank You message from a newbie

Weegie - welcome to the forum that I recently joined for the same reasons as yourself. A dry throat does seem to come with the territory but a wee dram soon solves it ;). Before e-cigs I always distrusted water - too many wee nasties swimming in it. It doesn't bother me as much if...
