    901 cartridges work well for me - and yes, they do have a bigger opening than the 501 cartridges do. I use the BFD (Blue Foam Dart) for filler and haven't had a problem with leakage. They wouldn't hit the bridge because they have an even larger opening than the normal 501 cartridges do. :)
