Nicotine users have saved the world many times over. It would be nice to get an occasional thank you from our government rather than a stick in the eye...
I'm coming to the conclusion that nicotine isn't addictive. I've found that I don't vape first thing in the morning--unheard of when I smoked. I go for 4 to 6 hours at work without vaping and it doesn't bother me. I have my one good vape session in the evening and that's it, no fix just...
Vaping is pretty damn inefficient as a nicotine delivery system. So it is fairly difficult to get a nicotine buzz, never mind over doing it. If you are vaping something like 18 mg or less, don't worry. At 24 mg I can feel it after 5 minutes of vaping and that's where I knock it off.

OK, now I'm depressed. I always thought that surely the FDA would come to their senses and accept that reduced risk or low risk (but non-zero risk) would be a desired outcome. But then it dawned on me that the FDA (along with the EPA) regulates pesticides and even with an explosion of bedbugs...
They say there is no such thing as a stupid question. But there are a lot of inquisitive idiots...
Nicotine is not a problem. It has many beneficial qualities. Tobacco smoke, on the other hand, kills. I would suggest you encourage your vaping friends to stay away from the known killer...
I've always said that if journalists had an aptitude for science, they'd be scientists, not journalists. Those that can, do, those that can't, teach. Those that can't teach, teach physical education, and those that can't teach phys Ed become journalists.
I reject the notion that the "safety and effectiveness are unknown", it is completely known. I know we are talking about government lawyers and they aren't exactly the best and brightest but nobody goes to court without doing due diligence. So when an entity like the FDA goes to court trying...
No apology needed. I just happen to have radar up on this particular phrase. I figured you meant no harm and, judging by your note above, you clearly have great character and integrity.
