Make your own USB Power Pack

I use mostly 18650's and dual CR123a's for my mods, but have a stash of 14500's that would be perfect for this application. Just use 2 14500's in place of the 3 1.5v AA's. Would be smaller, and suit the 1805 voltage regulator's needs well. 7.2 volts, down to 5. And the cutoff when the batteries...

Look what an old lady can do.

Great job on the passthru! And remember you're physical age has nothing to do with your spiritual age! Just stay young in spirit and u can't go wrong.

Make your own USB Power Pack

They do go pretty fast to follow. I watched it twice, and either of the 2 first videos would work for a power pack. I'd probably modify the design to use 2 14500 li-ion batteries instead of the 3 AAA's. They also have an episode on making a headphone amplifier, and spend a good amount of time...

    Harry Potter's Wand?

I was just looking at my sonic screwdriver thinking about how I could make a mod out of it yesterday... And decided it would be easier to make one from scratch than to mod the cheap plastic one I bought from thinkgeek.

Make your own USB Power Pack

Found a great video on the Revision3 site that goes into making your own USB power pack to recharge your electronic devices. Well the same functionality would work for our passthrus. Worth a watch as it also spends a little time on ohms law, battery types, voltage regulation and soldering...

    POLL: How Many E cigs?

I have 801, Janty Dura and Janty stick right now for commercial E-Cigs, but primarily vape on one of my 5 mods. Occasionally take the Dura in to the mall with me since it's so discrete. I did just order a Prodigy today however, and it will be my primary 801 device once it comes in, much better...

    Casey's Update Thread

And I finally got the $$ and ordered my 801 Prodigy base unit today (18778). Keep Cool Cassy and enjoy the quiet, while it lasts...

    Casey's Update Thread

This is perfect timing, quarterly bonus time is right around the bend, and Puresmoker is almost caught up! Guess the last of my excuses to not order my Prodigy are going up in vapor...

    ecig model database

I've done some minor updating on the spreadsheet, so thought it was time to update it. We need some way to keep it updated, not sure if vBulletin® has any database plugins that would work for that or not. But for now here's what I've added.

    Data consolidation?

There is a spreadsheet on the forums that mogur started (he is dearly missed :(), named styles.xls. It is in this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/24101-ecig-model-database.html What we need to do is keep it updated, until we can get web app written to keep it...

    Starting to mod....

A couple others that I find really handy: Dremel rotary tool, mainly shaping, cutting, enlarging holes, and deburring. Nibbler, haven't seen this mentioned, but great for cutting metal/plastic for projects. Works with sheet metal, goes right thru copper pipe and plastic. GO! MOD Nibbler...

    Favorite Prodigy Atomizer

I'm a little nervous with some feedback about the Janty 801/kissbox atomizers having a hard draw. Ones I've burnt out both went on a mod I made before I learned how to keep the draw smooth. Don't like the assembly method on the DES801's I've used. Had the base break off to easily, so have only...

FOG LOG Presents - Fantastic Friday Fashion Show

Truly a log for all seasons. My second gen is almost done, will post pictures this weekend. I'm wondering what you used for the end cap though. Would love to not carry a screwdriver around to change batteries.
