The smallest 5v mod I have is a 3AAA box using 10440 batteries you get a couple hours of use not bad considering the batteries are 350Mah.     yes a little goes a long way that was the problem I would have run in to,If I wouldn't have received a sample of how to do it. It is so small the amount you need it ridiculous. Either way I give you credit for giving me a sample and making me see the light!...lol

    I can vouch for gooddogs method without a doubt!!! I have the blue foam , fluval, straw mod, PTB mod nad I can tell you that Gooddog hit it right on the nail. She sent me a small sample in a trade and now that is all I use!!!! Great Find Gooddog!!!
