    The IPV 2 is a regulated device so it has safety features built in. You don't "have" to run 30 amp batteries. You run into safety problems when you start using mechanical mods (no safety built in) YOU are the only safety. With your 1 ohm coils you're only pulling 4.2 amps from the battery.
