Well, my mechanical mod went BOOM.

There is three threads on this page alone where someone has shorted, vented or exploded a battery because of operator negligence. UNACCEPTABLE!!

Well, my mechanical mod went BOOM.

It wasn't the shop owners fault. It was operator error. I'm close friends with the owner of the shop I frequent and he wouldn't replace a mod that I vented a battery in. I wouldn't expect him to either. I probably wouldn't even tell him. If I did, I would go in with my head down low and being...

Well, my mechanical mod went BOOM.

Sounds like an "auto fire" situation to me. You didn't lock the firing button before you put it in your pocket. You (and everyone around you) got lucky! The stingray X must not vent very well??

How do you carry your ecig? Cover your drip tip?

Any time I put a dripper in my pocket I make sure I've vaped the well dry. Which is very often sense that's all I use now on my Reo's. You may find that in VERY hot weather that your kayfun will leak juice through the air hole. You can remedy that by putting it in your pocket drip tip down...

It'd accessorize nicely with a tongue glow stick.

    Looking to upgrade my gear

What is your budget?? I started out with the kanger evod kit and quickly moved to a vision spinner battery and a protank 2 mini, then a vamo v5 and protank 2, several mechanical tube mods and kayfuns, high wattage box mods, drippers, etc, etc, etc.... I quit buying gear when I coughed up the...

is this considered a bad overcharge

That's probably the case with my batteries as well. After they charge fully I take them off and let them "rest" before I use them. They probably came off the charger at 4.2 and settled to 4.18. Have to check.

is this considered a bad overcharge

    Your vtc3 should charge to ~4.2 as well. My vtc4's do. Actually, my charger(s) (nitecore i4 & D2) stop charging at 4.18 - 4.19.

How do you carry your ecig? Cover your drip tip?

LOL... Don't tell the OP that - they may never take another breath again! Seriously though, I've been carrying my gear in my pocket for a year now and I haven't been sick yet. Your pocket probably isn't all that dirty, unless you're like my son and are fond of "road kill" frogs. Found...

    LGHE2 and Nitecore D2

3-1/2 hours is about the norm for me on either the i4 or the D2, I have both. As for shelf life... I don't know the exact shelf life but I have batteries that have set for several weeks and still been at full charge when I went to use them.

Cloupor Dna 30 V3 Box Mod Question (Cana)

+1 for the Nitecore charger. I have the i4 at home and the D2 at work. Both great chargers but I prefer the D2 because of the different charge modes and the digital screen tells you the charge level, so no longer a need for a meter at work to check battery levels.
