Easy bottom feed modification for the Phoenix v4 (ERA clone) RBA
Inkdog, the one from Empire Mods is much better quality, and about same price. It also has a "juice well" a-la Igo-L. I can see that dethroning a Hornet, just not an RM2 :) -

Back in my cotton days, I used to tuck an extra pre-rolled wick behind the battery. I also didn't use tweezers, scissors or napkins. Pocket knife works instead of scissors, and I wear my napkins :) -
Reo Button..oh Reo button
Mine always got stuck locked, but only with the bigger button cap. My locking pins were too long to be pushed in -- they would just poke out on the other side. I ended up removing them completely. Sorry, Karen, but it's very possible to put them back in -- I did in the Reo I sold on the... -

Looking into buying a Reo!
The plot thickens. Mine are 70mm with the button top. Also grey, also CGR18650CH. I had trouble believing it, so I double checked. Mine are pretty old though, I think I got them in September/October. Maybe Panasonic came to their senses since then -
Dual Coil Reomizer
Actually that's a valid question, Deb, but we're not there yet :) If I remember correctly, Scubadatdan made an atomizer for someone, that had a little blower. His friend had some sort of condition that would make it difficult to use an atomizer with anything but the airiest draw. -

Karen, that's pretty interesting. The panasonic 18650 that I have (also grey), won't even fit into my Grand, no matter how compressed the spring is. :) -

What More2 said. Also, you can use any unsealed (with a hole in the bottom of the threaded side) cartomizer or atomizer. Some, not to say most, bottom feeding mods will accept unsealed rebuildable atomizers as well.- Commie

Looking into buying a Reo!
Sorry to be the bearer of a bad news, but I believe Panasonics are too long, you may need IMR or MNKE batteries. IMRs (both EFest and AW) are 65mm long, and most protected batteries are 68 to 70mm long. -

Ok, converting it was far far easier than the ERA. The cut insulator has good and bad sides. Good is it really is impossible to flood. Bad is that it dries the wick more than I'd like when you let go of the bottle. Leaves only juice in the wick, none in the cup. Just like ERA, it runs... -

So far I am impressed. It does seem to be stainless, and build quality seems to be noticeably better than the Phoenix v4. Post screws are philips, none of that ex wrench stuff. It also came with a nifty screw driver, and two stainless drip tips that I can chop down. The drip cup is a nice... -

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH
Organic sterile cotton balls don't need any prepping. Normal cotton balls have perfumey taste for 10-20 minutes, then it clears off. Some people had luck with boiling them to clean, but I'm just envisioning them falling apart in boiling water, so I haven't tried that.- Commie
