    Xc-116 vs ekowool

Hmm, maybe I'm doing something wrong. I think it's because when I vape, I still take a few primer pulls and then vape. Those primer ones are what's burning the wick, since I can't tell that it's dry. Not sure why I do that, force of habit, probably

Nextel is doing very good so far. What confuses me is that I can tell no difference between it and the XS variety. In looks, wicking, flavor... So far I'm testing whether or not it would outlast the XS. I think Monday I'll send you some XS to try and compare. It's listed as 116, but looks about...

    Xc-116 vs ekowool

My only beef with the cotton is that I never know when I will have to replace the wick. I forget to squonk pretty often, and completely randomly. Sometimes wicks last me three days, sometimes I fry them after an hour. When I was a smoker, I was always paranoid about running out. When I got my...

    Xc-116 vs ekowool

That *is* weird. I have the discoloration too, but I generally have it on all the wick types. But the wicking should be much better than what you're seeing. I wonder if the coil is too tight, or not enough of a hole through the middle. That's about the length of the wick I had in my RM2, but it...

The only science coming up is a wicking test. Hopefully tomorrow or early next week. :)

My RBA Mods & Other Reo Related Mods

The second coil is just ridiculously good looking. This is definitely vape porn

    Xc-116 vs ekowool

2mm Ekowool seems to be about 1.5 times bigger in diameter than 1/32 Nextel. However, the same length of wire makes for the same number of loops in a coil, with the same needle through the center. That leads me to believe that Ekowool is "squishier". That leads to better contact with the coil...

    Question about the reomizer rba

To Renoman. This might sound overly dramatic, but it's absolute truth. I was a mod junkie before I got my first Reo. I was trying tanks, cartos, drippers, gennies, clearos, buying and making all kinds of different mods. Haven't had an urge to ever since. Now I fulfill my need to tinker by...

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO

I've tried unsuccessfully. Two 30ga microcoils in parallel. Either concept, or my implementation sucked. Pdib tried two 28ga microcoils in series, or rather, one longer microcoil, bent in half in the middle, with two wicks. Allegedly, it worked well :)

    xc-116 ceramic wick question!

Does sewing not cause trouble when you dry-burn later? Or do you just not dry-burn?

You should name your daughter Ria... And congratulations, on both accounts!

I'm sorry, and I realize this is not constructive in any way, but

    Quick question, coil heating time.

Yup. That is why the sub-ohm coils are only made with thicker wire. 32gauge and thinner would just overheat almost instatnly and pop. You also have to consider the thermal capacity of the wick itself. If you use SS wick, then the coil is spending quite a bit of energy to heat up the wick as...

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO

Looks very nice! With my ERA I noticed that the outer shell gets pretty hot. If it does, and if that bothers you, you can stuff the loose end of the wick between the posts. That seems to stop the overheating.

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO

18ga = 1mm 16ga = 1.3mm 14ga = 1.6mm 1/16" = 1.59mm "standard" wooden toothpick is also 1/16" in diameter, and is not conductive. So you can meter your coil without taking out the core :)

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

    there's a missing slash there. It's 1/16" and 1/32". The internal diameter.

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO

I use 28, it works fine. The main concept of microcoil is two fold: 1. Closely touching coils heat up more evenly. You don't get some loops doing most of the heating 2. Small diameter works well for airflow, so the coils cool off more evenly

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

It does screw on, and it doesn't have problem lining up. Rob drills them in the correct spot. If you happen to be unhappy with the location of the airhole, you can add an o-ring between the base and cap, and adjust it that way.

    Xc-116 vs ekowool

Oh oh oh! I love that idea. I don't think I would do it quite as scientifically as Phil Busardo, and I'm too lazy to make a video, but I'm definitely gonna take pictures and post them here. Thank you for the idea. Lemme see, I may be able to compare a few different cottons, XC, XS, Ekowool...
