xc-116 ceramic wick question!
Well, I tried XS-116. 18 is too thick for my purposes. 116 makes about a 3mm outer diameter wick, if you leave the center hole open for better wicking. 116 also seems to keep up with a .8 ohm coil, chain vaping, so I didn't see the point of thicker one. Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH
Well, I'm running one with SS wick, and one with XS-116 (which kind of counts as silica) in my reomizers. They work pretty well. I just don't have the timing right to do cotton any more. I keep frying it at most inconvenient times.- Commie

Hmm, if you like dripping, you can do so with your Reo :) My Grand is running an SS wick that is really easy to dry burn. So when I drip to test juices, I just drip into that reomizer, without switching the bottle. Quick dry burn, squonk, and it goes back to its normal self. -
Topping off your bottle
I taught myself an interesting lesson. Don't top off the bottles in your Reos while drunk and tired. I now have a Grand bottle with a mix of Mocha and Ectoplasm, and a Mini bottle with Ectoplasm/Mocha. The taste is very sobering. -

How far can steel be polished?
I mean by hand or with home tools? I was grinding down a cheap stainless tooltip, using dremel as a lathe. With progressively higher grit sand paper, then with steel wool, then with toothpaste on a piece of leather. It's pretty shiny now, but still doesn't match the chromed brass atomizer that...- Commie

EkoWool for wicks
Depends on how good you are at making silica coils. The advantage of Ekowool is that it's hollow. As in, you can stick a paper clip or syringe needle through the center of it, roll a very consistent coil around it, and when you remove the needle, it will make sure that the coil is not too tight...- Commie

Collapsed spring with 2.3 ohm coil in A7 Mini
Reo can definitely handle LR. I'm running 0.8 coil on one of my SS atomizers, and I've heard of some silly people going even lower. The unmodified center post on A7 puts you at a dead short though, which is likely what collapsed your spring :( -
REO Grand battery: 2900mah high drain?!
Problem with protected batteries is that the protection circuit adds 3-5mm in length. 3mm will compress the coil too much, 5mm won't fit at all. Compressing the coil removes the Reo's built-in protection, which is a lot more reliable than the battery's built-in protection. You do get higher... -

I agree, Russ. I've always liked non-tubular shapes for PVs. Tubed are simpler, but don't make sense beyond that. Putting battery in parallel with the guts and juice delivery system makes it so much more compact and sturdy. Even my first few mods for Vivi Novas and carto tanks were either... -

I like Commercial Tobacco from WL, and the wife likes "Marlbaro". The one called just "Tobacco" tastes like perfume to me. Commercial Tobacco is a natural, so it's dark and needs to steep for a while. Marlbaro tastes very good to me, just doesn't remind me of any sort of tobacco at all. All... -

I also vote for no Kick, but if you're bound and determined, look up a thread about kicked Reos. There are a few very good and simple ways to keep it in place without tape, and without hampering the firing button. -

Also, remember that the liquid in the bottle doesn't have to match the label, and the bottle doesn't have to be sealed. I have a few old juice bottles, and I just pour my DYI in those for transport.- Commie

Depending on concentration, you can taste nicotine. At 18 or 24, it starts tasting a little peppery to me. Since I'm not a fan of that, and since I can't chain vape for 20 minutes at that concentration, I started with 12mg. My wife says she can taste it even in that, so she vapes 6mg. -
