My Grand tumbled out of the car

I was going about 30 mph on a dirt road when my Reo decided to jump out. It tumbled quite a bit. The only visible damage is a broken delrin drip tip, and slightly scoffed chrome on the RM2. Yay for Rob!

    Adjusting positive pin?

Thank you guys! I unscrewed the positive pin in the reomizer a little bit, and it works great. I have to be careful not the screw it on too tight, but should be fine. Yay! My favoritest Grand is back from semi-retirement. Commie

    Adjusting positive pin?

Thanks, folks! I didn't know that the positive pin in the reomizers was turnable. I was worried about experimenting, it being ceramic and all :)

    Adjusting positive pin?

So I have my beloved Grand sporting a less beloved ERA clone. Both my Reomizers, when screwed all the way onto the Grand end up with the airhole pointing towards the door, i.e. 90 degrees short of where they should point. If I loosen them up to where the hole points the correct way (with a...

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO

I'd use 1mm for dual coils, 1.5mm for single ones. I have a feeling that 1mm wick won't keep up in a single coil setup.

Why Do People Buy Cheap Junk???

Right, go on, spend $300 on something that you don't even know you'll like :)

    Reo Mod vs. Mech/Dripper

Reo would definitely be durable enough to go camping with. Kayaking, I'm not sure, as it's not waterproof. Batteries generally don't like water. That would be my only concern. Durable/dependable atomizer? Really depends, most of them are pretty durable. Various rebuildables are fine, but if...

    Reo Mod vs. Mech/Dripper

There are a few benefits of Reo with a decent rebuildable on it over, say, a tube mech with a kayfun: 1. Easier to refill. And that's considering that Kayfun is pretty easy to refill. 2. Form factor. Tube mods are usually a bit taller for the same size battery, and tanks like kayfun are pretty...

Thick layer of residue / film on living room windows.

I have the same on the inside of my windshield. If it helps, I vape VG-heavy liquids, and my atomizers generally produce hefty clouds. In cold weather, it seems to condense on cold shiny surfaces. P.S. Makes me happy that PG and VG are not conductive. I'd imagine the same residue, to a lesser...

    Hammer Clone

I'm almost positive. I ended up buffing the engravings. Not all the way off, but to the point where they were completely smooth to the touch and didn't scratch at my desk when sliding. It still looks stainless-y.

    No more anodized?

I think there's even more to it. Anodizing creates a layer of colored (somewhat) metal. Paint is still paint, it's more prone to scratches than anodizing.

    Tanks for hcigar Taifun GT

If it helps: I'm not sure if it will fit the non-FT Taifuns. The one I got from them doesn't even fit the Taifun from FT. The threads are so bad that it won't screw onto their own Taifun.

Are your gums bleeding more now that you have stopped smoking cigarettes?

I do remember my gums bleeding a little more for a few weeks when I quit smoking. That being said: When I smoked, I had periodontal disease. Every cleaning quickly escalated into scaling, which can be extremely painful, if you are immune to -caine family of anesthetics like I am. My...

Why Do People Buy Cheap Junk???

Well, the argument of "you could afford to smoke" only works in some cases. I used to roll my own for about $20/month :) As far as cheap junk, not all cheap is junk. One of my goto vapes is an Astro clone with a KFL clone on top. That's about $30 setup. Stainless steel, sturdy, shiny, pretty...

The super_Mac way to wrap a micro coil

What would be interesting is a dowel with a lengthwise slot in it at one end. Stick a chunk of the wire through the slot, put the dowel in the drill, and go. When you have your required number of coils, it should come off the dowel easily.

The super_Mac way to wrap a micro coil

Pictures, as promised. Incidentally, I measured resistance. A foot-long coil is about 0.8 ohm.

The super_Mac way to wrap a micro coil

Back in the day when I was making chainmail, I used to make coils for that, also with a drill. 16 gauge galvanized steel, 3/8" internal diameter. Would that qualify as Macro coils? I'll have to take and post pictures tonight

The super_Mac way to wrap a micro coil

Very creative. Sorry, Russ, but I still find that a drillbit, fingers, and reading glasses are quicker and produce very good results :P

    Need more batteries

So my old EH 18650ies are barely holding charge now, and I'm looking for new 18650ies for my Grand. Besides the obvious choice of AW 2000MAh, what else would fit into a Grand? It still has the spring, no fuses for me. I haven't needed more than 10 amp output either yet, so possibly can get...
