Thank you again, _nderscore. I got my second atty from the same place. Same item. This time the cap is definitely stainless steel. The negative post seems sturdier, and now I know to be gentle with it. Works like a charm! -

VV vs. VW
The advantage of *some* VW devices over VV is that they adjust voltage to the coil on the fly. As in, when the resistance of the coil changes with every vape due to heating of the coil, it adjusts the power to the atomizer.- Commie

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO
Hmm, the socks effect may be an additive in the cotton. Those generally wear out after about 10-20 minutes of vaping. Otherwise the wick looks perfect. Not sure why the leftmost coil burns it :( -

.5 watt is a pretty good increment. And DNA20 adjusts voltage dynamically. As in, as your resistance changes mid-vape from heating, it adjusts voltage. -

My only beef with the Vamo is its PWM frequency. The rattling of my carto tank annoyed me enough to get rid of it. But that's just my personal taste. -

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO
I think in this particular case there's too much wick. Try a slightly thinner wick, one that doesn't "muffin-top" out of the coil after it expands. That should improve wicking. And less wick in the cup. Maybe a half-inch tail to lay down in the bottom, and that's it. That should improve the air... -
What's your preferred juice delivery device?
Just to clairfy. The main benefit of a beautiful looking coil is aesthetics :) I've seen some bum-ugly coils perform great. I just prefer mine to look nice too. Might be CDO (like OCD but alphabetical, like it SHOULD BE!) -

Not only can, but should. The regular cotton balls I get at Meijer have some sort of perfume in them. Tastes funky for a few minutes. Organic cotton balls (stolen from the wife, no idea where she got them), don't have the perfumey taste, and seem to wick better. The better wicking might be just... -

That's the point, Rob. DNA20 ises high frequency PWM. I'm not sure if it's exactly 800 Hz, but it's high enough to where people don't notice the nasty hiss of the 33.3 :) -
