Hey, Reonauts! Quick question -- cap set aside, are ERA and Hornet the same size? Or does the ERA have bigger guts? I have a slight beef with the Hornet to where it's very finicky about the size and shape of the coil I'm putting on it -- it doesn't seem to like anything but the tiniest microcoil... -

I know what you mean. On the Hornet, I can't even get a 14ga coil to work very well at all. Only micro coil. On both reomizers though, the 14ga coils work fine. Incidentally, those coils are just large enough diameter to be able to squeeze a 3mm silica wick through, without recoiling. -

14 gauge needle is the same outer diameter as a wooden toothpick. Just saying :) And toothpick is not conductive. So, Russ, are you abandoning your microcoil ship? :) -

It's bought. Rob from ReosMods.com makes them out of some (unknown to me) Chinese RBA, and mods them specifically for use with Reos. So far they seem to work spectacularly. I've tried all kinds of different shape coils and different materials for wicks, and so far have not managed to make...- Commie

The right side does touch the floor. Vs cotton, I'd say flavor is a bit cleaner, and, since it's dry-burnable, it's easier to clean when it starts gunking up and losing flavor. I think what makes it hold more juice is the ends. The ends are folded, so in the center, the wick is rolled very loose. -
Reo Mini 2.1 vs Reo Grand

I've had a ton of bad builds with original phoenix, even more with A7, and a few with the Hornet. I'm yet to manage an unacceptably bad build with RM2. Big kudos to Rob, this thing is designed to be russian-proof :) -

Micro Coil for the RBA on your REO
RBAing actually is difficult, with some atomizers. But so far with RM2, no matter what coil I make, they work. Some better than others, but all seem to work pretty well. -

I think it might also have to do with the spacing between the loops, for the vapor to escape. In a round wire micro coil, there's still enough room for the vapor to come out between them. -

Unoxidized is much easier. Just remember -- do not pulse-burn it on your Reo! The spring will not like you for that. Burn it on another mod, and when it all glows even, put it on your Reo and enjoy :)
