I got mine from Activape. According to them, it's an HCigar version. I sanded down the inside of the brass sleeve, now it fits a 350 battery better. Sanded the floating pin lightly, and outside of the brass sleeve, hoping to improve contact. No luck. Good thing that all the threads are... -

Well, I just got mine. The quality is on the worse side of the clone scale, at least in mine. 1. Threads had to be cleaned up with a dremel 2. The inner brass piece has all kinds of burrs 3. Voltage drop is pretty bad. I will try to sand it a bit and report back 4. standard 350 battery seems... -
Can I use a lighter to oxidize kanthal wire and silica wick?
Well, kanthal and silica does not need it for oxidation: 1. Kanthal can be heated up to reduce its springieness, and to clean off any sort of dirt and oil off it. Mesh in RM2?
Yup. It sucks up excess juice, and slowly releases it to the mesh wick. Leaves you with a wick that gives good flavor and won't burn, and can be dry burned while you're out an about. -

Cotton yarn as a wick
So I found a wicking material that seems to work better for me than rolled cotton. Cotton yarn. The one I have is Sugar'n Cream brand. I'm not a knitter, so it's hard for me to tell the thickness of it. On the roll it says US7, 4.5mm. Not sure what that means, but it's definitely thinner than... -

What difference in vape is there between 28g and 30 or higher?
Difference is length (and volume) of wire necessary to reach your target resistance. If you are going for, say, 1 Ohm microcoil, 28ga wire will get you there in 8 loops, and 30ga wire will get you there in 4-5 loops. That means that 30 ga wire will be much lighter, and the "heatsink" effect...- Commie

Well, Rob does modify them more than just milliing down the base :) I believe, he throws out middle section, drills the top for airflow, somehow yanks out one of the posts. No idea what else. -

Well, it's more like making a copy of Mona Lisa, and selling it for $10. I hear all kinds of people do that :) I actually have a few replica paintings in my house. More so, I don't even feel guilty for having copies on my walls. -
Gross question about drip tips
Not for the weak of heart. You've been warned. So I've noticed that any metal polished drip tips seem to collect some crusty grossies on them. Works for stainless and aluminum ones. Delrin, acrylic and otherwise plastic ones don't seem to do that. Have any of you encountered that, or am I the...- Commie

Black Wrinkle is very pretty, but seems to wear pretty easily, I assume the other paints do as well. Anodized for me from now on :) My anodized silver Grand's fist birthday is tomorrow, and it looks brand new still. -
