    I wrap on a screwdriver, thread the wick, and then tighten wraps on the wick. Just my way. You'll have to play with it to find your best course of action. But that's half the fun, isn't it? :)

    Are your kanthal coils touching the wick all the way around? I started wrapping mine a little looser than the originals and it wasn't quite as effective for flavor and vape.

    For me, there is about a 10-15 toot break-in. Also, I don't remember what wick you are using? That might affect the flavor.
