Stardust 'conehead' already cracking.
I have been using two of the newer ones with citrus juices and haven't had any cracking so far. About all of the ones I got right after Chinese new year have cracked. Now I'm glad you put a limit on them. :) -

I have been using small vise grips. I adjust until they barely squeeze the ring & then wiggle side to side. I have had to reshape the ring a couple of times. -

They can be taken apart by removing the silver ring with pliers. I couldn't just rock them off like the first batch. Only tried with one of the newer ones so far. -
Steeping?
For me the butterfly bait had to steep for about a month. To me it tasted like peach with honey. Tried the orange mint & it reminds me of camel mandarin mint that I used to smoke when I could find them. I can't use this one all day long, but definitely has a clean taste I would vape occasionally.- Daunting

The 510 to ego adapter I have allows you to adjust it to make better contact. Not sure if the all do, you might want to check if yours does. -

I have had cracked one with a mt. Dew flavored juice. Most of the problems were with the ones sold right after Chinese New Year (they rushed them out) & with acidic citrus juices. I haven't had any of the newest ones or pre Christmas ones crack yet. I have used Butterfly Bait, caramel apple...- Daunting

Your probably right, but around 11pm last night I found my electrical tape first. :) I'm pretty sure the bottom band on mine is plastic. In the future I'll get new pliers or tape with more grip. Mainly it was time to clean one & wanted to see if I could take apart the newer ones. Btw- thanks... -

I used your latest method of taking the bottom ring off first on one with a conehead. I had a little trouble getting the ring off but it was easy after that. The top metal part is basically the washer with a point on top that sits under the silicone cap like the old washer did I wrapped my... -

I use an ego adapter on my provari & you can barely see it. Plus it catches any juice that gets down the center by accident. -
Love my Stardust but....cracks-
I had a couple I used until the wicks fell apart. I tossed them but kept the tanks, in case another one cracked.
