dittoes. whats changed? My prob with the originals is mainly just the mfg consistency... one is great, perfect even, the next one is noxiously stinky, and so on... maybe 1 in 5 fail rate. some are not stinky but seem to have too low ohms, etc... get the variation under control and i'm a happy... -

That's an excellent question... Definitely try to drain the batts charge first I guess. Considering all the juice that gets in there anyway, how sensitive to a little alcohol could it be? All the same, I think you should try it first and let me know how it goes. hehe. ;-) -

I think the most common probs with auto batts is too much juice gettign down in the center post, it doesn't necessarily short the battery but it gums up the trigger so it either doesn't fire at all or stays firing constantly. The trick is how to clean it without breaking it worse... pipe cleaners? -

Yeah, but I had the stainless steel ones. Couldn't take them apart to burn the wicking and wasn't going to order anymore because i don't think my cartos should need to be that much effort to get working properly. I read somewhere that the nastiness was some kind of anti-bacterial spray used... -
