All about the Prodigy (for a noob)?

What he's saying is this: With the resistor in place, using a single 18650 battery you will be vaping at just under 3 volts. Without the resistor and using the same battery, you'll be vaping at 3.7 volts.

Just got my puresmoker PT it's ... meh

Posting a thread with a title that implies a negative review is really bad form. Many users scan these forums and (sadly enough) form impressions based on titles alone. I know you meant this to be ironic and funny, but it's really just 'negative advertising' for Puresmoker. Not to come down on...

    Bad little resistor!!!

I agree, the 'heat management' aspect is likely a prominent factor. Of course, I think many of us Prodigy users are probably doing mouth inhales, as direct hits at 5 volts are a *bit* much. I run an 801 on my Prodigy, and I really do prefer it over the 901. The 901 gets hot a lot faster for...

High Capacity Batteries @ 3.7v - Opens up a whole new world

Since 3.7v batteries deliver about 4.2v when fully charged, I'd think that you'd probably be running at 4.2v for quite a while with the 18650 battery. So, in essence you're experiencing around 4.2 volts for somewhere around an entire days worth of use. I've yet to use this battery configuration...

    Bad little resistor!!!

Thanks for the ultra-thorough response. This covered everything quite sufficiently. ;-) I think the primary differential here is the quantity of liquid that we vape, as you're citing .5 to 1 ml a day, where I'm burning about 3-4ml a day. So, in practicality I'm vaping about 3-5 times as much as...

    Bad little resistor!!!

Can I ask for more specifics on this? - What 901 atty manufacturer / model are you using? - How many attys have been in rotation? - What's you maintenance routine? - What do you vape? PG? VG? - How long is your average draw? - Do you back off when your atty gets warm? Sorry for the...

    Prodigy Review

You may be able to do just fine vaping with the resistor and one 18650 battery, but you are indeed running the Prodigy at under 3 volts. This has been confirmed by Puresmoker quite a few times. ;-)

    Sick of E-Juice targeting KIDS!!!

Hmm... This newly-voiced concern is really making me reconsider my juice-related product development efforts. I was working on two new lines of e-liquid: "Baby Food" - and - "Kids Cereal" ...but I'm probably going to just give up now. ;-)

    Bad little resistor!!!

    You use 1 3.7 volt 18650 battery instead of the 2 rcr123 batteries. That's it. ;-)

    Prodigy arrived!

Mine landed an hour ago. I popped in an uncharged set of batteries, put the other set into the charger, and bang! ...vapor everywhere. ;-) I'm being really gentle since I'm superstitious about getting my 'first time charges' right, but I am amazed. Really. What an awesome device. =] More...

    Prodigy arrived!

Mine is due to hit the mailbox whenever the mailman gets here today - oh, what wicked anticipation. ;-) I actually have both the Prodigy AND a Vaprlife VP2 landing today. This is going to be one hell of a foggy weekend, for sure. Enjoy!

    Casey & PS & Others - BE112 atty

I second the 'BE112 works quite a bit better at 5 volts' motion. ;-) I was using BE112's on a 3.7v VP1 for the last two weeks, and even though they worked well, they most certainly felt a bit underpowered. The first 30 minutes or so off of a fresh battery would be suitable, but after that I had...

    Casey & PS & Others - BE112 atty

I have to firmly disagree here. The BE112's handle a nice amount of liquid without flooding and seem to last very long, as they manage heat very well. The TW 801's are rebranded RN4072's, and they tend to leak, flood, gurgle, and spontaneously die. I had horrible results with them, as have a...

    More questions than 'usual'?

SmokeyJoe: Did you already go back to the standard search's 3 character minimum? When I tried it a few hours ago, it was returning results for 3 word queries, and now it isn't anymore. Did you revert for some reason? EDIT: Actually, 3 character searches still appear to work, but only if I use...

Wow - that is excellent. This will literally 'save' the search function in these forums. Quick response time, SmokeyJoe. ;-)

    How am I on stocking

Are you sure about that? From everything I've been reading, there is a good chance they will try to eliminate the hardware as well. The devices and components themselves would be banned under an 'intended use' blanket, as absurd as that may seem. There are a number of threads that talk about...
