Some coil wicks really do burn ?

Thanks nubee - Now if only TW's 801 attys didn't have those silly little logos on them... I may have to just bite the bullet and try a batch anyway. BTW - I just finally inspected the 5 801 attys that I received last week from Rocky Mountain Vapor, and they are all high bridge but do not seem...

Some coil wicks really do burn ?

Kinabloo.... I should send you one of these brand new BE112's to check out. Both of them were totally fine until I tried an alleged 'preventative' dry burn as per a forum member's maintenance suggestion. After I let each of the attys burn dry for 5-7 seconds, the burning taste and smell wan...

Some coil wicks really do burn ?

Nubee... Are the TW 801 atomizers high bridge or low bridge? I want to know, as I may be ordering a stockpile from there myself if they're low bridge. Thanks!

Some coil wicks really do burn ?

All of the BE112 atomizers (for an 801 fitting) that I have received from BesteCig in the past 2 weeks have this wicking material sticking out from the wire mesh, and all of them have been very sensitive and seemingly love to burn. I'm really hoping that someone will work to create a better...

    Perpetualy burnt taste?

One quick recommendation: Do NOT try the 'dry burn' method of cleaning that has been discussed in various threads in this forum. Doing this with an atomizer with a protruding wick will result in burning it. This will result in a perpetually burnt taste for as long as you keep the atty in use. I...

Getting Annoyed : This is an effective method of prolonging atomisers

That burnt taste is likely your wick. These things burn when your atty is powered and dry. This is why the 'dry burn' method isn't feasible, at least for me. Unfortunately, I lost 2 brand new attys after reading this thread and giving it a shot. Ugh.

How I got rid of my burnt atomizer taste

Hmm - now I'm torn. I just tried this on an 801 atty (a BE112 from BesteCig) as a last resort, and it is the only thing that has worked in my quest to eliminate the horrid burnt taste that was plaguing my atomizer. Removing the little piece of string finally did the trick. Of course, I'm now...

    801, 901, 510 Mods

I'd personally go for the VP2 then. The JS is great and has its place, but the VP2 will definitely offer better battery life. No question. With the VP2, the 801 is now the 'standard' model, which I'd recommend anyway. Of course, if you ever change your mind, you can always buy an adapter from...

Thanks mamacat - I'll email Chris now.

Great Experience With My First Order...

I just wanted to share something quickly... Chris sent me an extra bottle of 'Cappuccino Special Blend' as a freebie for not having one of my flavors in stock, and I gave it a shot last night. Avoid this flavor at all costs. ;-) It tasted like a 'special blend' of formaldehyde and battery...

Great Experience With My First Order...

I ordered from Chris and the gang after reading some good reviews here last Friday (08/21). I received a friendly call from him that same afternoon to inform me that one of the flavors I'd ordered was out of stock. He helped me find an alternative, and even offered to send me an extra 10ml...

    vp-901 from vaprlife

I'm 99.99% sure that Mike has the VP1. The VP-901 is now called the 'VP1-901' on the Vaprlife website, as they've just updated their product line to offer both models (the VP1 and the VP2) with a native 801 atty and adapters for both the 501 and 901 atomizers. So, the new lineup looks like...

Johnson Creek Tennessee Cured Juice Review

"You ordered Tennessee Cured? Oops! We thought you had ordered the 'Tennessee Crud'. Our mistake". :-) Sorry, this naming parody invaded my perception, and I felt compelled to share.

    New VP1 from Vaprlife

I think those are 1.2V 1000 maH batteries that you're looking at, so no - they wouldn't work. I think that the 360 maH may be the max you're going to get in a AAA rechargeable that runs at 3.6V. They sell some that are rated at 500 maH, but everyone says that they're really 360 maH batteries...

Litecigusa is bringin a mod into the lineup

Cool, Shawn... Aside from having the multiple adapters you've listed, this forthcoming mod sure does sound a lot like the VP1 I just got yesterday from Vaprlife. If it's anything like it, you're all in for a serious treat. I was looking for a battery mod that would give me 'serious', reliable...

To me, RY4 tastes like blueberry pancakes covered in a nauseating layer of cotton candy. I'm not a fan. =]

    The VP1 - .....in

Wench... I too was initially looking for either a 510 or a 901 version, but after talking to John at Vaprlife and looking around at other user's experiences with 'battery upgrade' mods, I quickly changed my mind about the 801. The 801 on its own is not my cup of tea at all, but its atomizer...

    vp-901 from vaprlife

Glad to hear that you're having a similar experience to my own, Mike... I just got a VP1 (the 801 version) yesterday, and I'm extremely happy with this device. I think that its 3.7 solid volts coupled with the right atty and setup gives me everything I want - taste, vapor, and a clean...

    The VP1 - .....in

Update: I received my VP1 yesterday from Vaprlife.com, and it is nothing short of amazing. Wow. If someone had told me that I could've simply shelled out $100 2 months ago and bypassed all of the nonsense I went through with my first device (a VX2 or J118 - similar to a 901), I would have done...
