Resistorless 5v Prodigy V2 - Final Specs - Loaded Voltage Video
Has anyone actually ever tested the V2 with the resistored, titanium disc under load other than Steve? I'd like to know the 'final verdict' with freshly charged batts. All of this speculation yet no results - I want to know! ;-)- Synthnadz

...a defect that can be partially and temporarily compensated for with lots of user elbow grease. Poor form, pure nonsense. I've wasted more than $500 on PS products, all of which thoroughly disappointed. Good riddance. =]- Synthnadz

The only resolution is to painstakingly perform tedious, exhausting maintenance rituals every few days to keep the arsing off of the ring and posts. ...and yes - this is more than likely destined to be an 'ongoing thing that will never be appropriately resolved by PS'. :shrug: ...D- Synthnadz

Here's something I don't understand, but hopefully one of you will: How come when I put the voltage adapter I ordered with my Buzz on my Prodigy V2 with fully charged batts I get a reading of 6.5v - the 'unloaded' voltage, but when I'm using it to measure the Buzz's voltage, it's the 'loaded'... -

One question regarding the 'not totally sealed' thing: I've been using my Buzz for about 2 hours now with 510 cartomizers (with the 3.0 volt batteries I have on-hand to tide me over), and I just pulled off the 510 adapter to look at the post / screw. The entire 'well' there was completely full... -

I'm just reflecting what Buzz told me after I fully reported the sequence. He also said that another one of the same chargers blew a fuse, so he was pretty confident that this is what went down. Also, after the 'pop' I tried the other brand new set of 16340s. The charger didn't even respond... -

There goes that idea. ;-) After scouring the area for 24 hours for any sort of a temporary solution, I've finally resolved myself to having to wait another 3 days for a charger to come from BatteryJunction. Talk about 'full of suck'... Why is it that places like Radio Shack don't carry... -

I got my Buzz yesterday, but the 3.7v charger's fuse popped 2 minutes into charging my first set of Ultrafire 880mAh 16340's. So, I can't use it yet. Ugh. ;-) Anyway, even though all research points towards this being a terrible idea, I'm toying with trying to charge these Ultrafire's in one of...
