Nope, I've heard of them getting shorted and just getting really hot... but no explosion. Back in September when I got my first mod, I actually took the time to read up on the different batteries available, and opted for the ones that have a tendency not to blow your face off in thermal runaway... -

Nope. When shorted, they get very hot... but won't explode due to their chemical composition. There was some guy who claimed his LiFEPO4 CR2 exploded, but it remains to be seen whether they weren't really mislabeled standard CR2s. -

Use LiFepo4s and relax :p I still don't understand why people choose CR2s over LiFepo4 CR123s... yeah, CR2s are smaller, but LiFepo4s won't freaking explode when venting... *sigh* -

I think it's primarily because they're cheap, and a good introduction to vaping without having to invest a substantial amount of cash upfront. Not everyone who tries e-cigs will like it, and a $30 510 kit wouldn't be a huge loss. Those who do and continue vaping will eventually find better... -

GG costs
I'm sitting here with a GGTS and a Prodigy V2, which I spent $70 on, and had been giving me switch issues from the first day (which have been corrected after some tweaking)... based solely on the craftsmanship of both devices, I have no regrets spending $200 on my GG. Simple as that... don't... -

GG Achilles sounds great... like an ultra-classified GPS weapons system or a really big freaking tank... Actually, nevermind, don't call it the Achilles... I'd probably buy one just for the badass name and my gf would kill me even harder this time :p
