I studied the problem a little more. It's gaining a second very three. In the analog clock mode it will tick two seconds, then skip one ( three seconds goes to four ). Strange. It's consistent 1, 2, 4... I'm going to try resetting it to factory, and see if that helps.

It is always that fast. I have reset it numerous times only to find it doesn't stay. I only turn it to standby occasionally
