    Why Kayfun?

Which I've always avoided using. I've heard the spring can weaken causing juice leakage... For what it's worth. Still loved it. Now I seem to be the odd man out and love my kf4.

Attack of the (Kayfun v4) Clones!

I also find that occasionally when I need to help out liquid flow a bit, I need to open the top fill port, watch some bubbles, and close. Keeps it nicely saturated if it's struggling.

I don't think my Hana DNA30 clone is reading ohms accurate

If the resistance reading is off, and it's a VW device, would tthat not mean that the power delivery would be off?

    kayfun clone 3.1 questions

I'll pipe up here. I jumped on the KF bandwagon about 6 weeks ago. The first one I got (FT russian) and i cannot build it wrong. It just works. No leaks, no gurgling, no dry-hits - it just works. Since then I've bought a couple more. One of the models i bought (the really cheap, $14 one from...

Kayfun Lite Plus - EWW!! What's that horrible taste??

I forgot to take off my orings before the alcohol bath(s) and it didn't seem to be an issue. I do recommend taking out the 510 connection screw as it had some residue on it that probably wouldn't have been cleaned if i left it installed.

Kayfun Lite Plus - EWW!! What's that horrible taste??

Same issue here - an unrelenting machine oil taste. It took two soaks in alcohol, a soak in detergent, then a 15 minute boil - completely broken down without o-rings, and it tastes great now. I have to be honest, i was on the verge of giving up figuring this taste would never go away but...

How could i "experiment" with a Ithaka without breaking the bank if i choose its not for me?

I grabbed an iSmoka Magoo, and it's all I've been using save for a couple carto-tanks. I have a kayfun light, and a rocket in the mail from FT which may become my go-to based on the ease of build. I have to say though, don't be intimidated by the nr-r-nr build. If you can twist a wire, you're...

    Quick Questions About Vision Spinner

They all use pretty much the same electronics. Yes, a Joyetech charger will work just fine on a spinner. I have one... it does just fine. Any twist/spinner type battery is regulated (adjustable from 3.2-4.8V). As for the size question, the 1300 Spinner is a bit shorter and fatter than the 1100...

    Whats the deal with PROVARI?

Just had to pipe up here because of your Alias - I'm also an M3 lover (have an 08 coupe, 6sp) and also own and love my Provari. Coincidence? Nah. Just good taste.

    rebuildables! I said i wouldn't... but I did.

So in case anyone cares - i finally got some supplies in and rebuild my setup. Now I'm using 32g Kanthal, silver and silica 2mm wick. I did a funky flavor wick setup that criss-crosses on top of the coil. Put it all back together and i finally "get it". Pure, clean flavor and huge TH. Vapor is...

    rebuildables! I said i wouldn't... but I did.

Very cool. My next build when I toss out this dual coil (which is any minute now, when the tank is dry) will be a microcoil. Great... now I'm running out of wire... off to (e)shop I go.

Is there a bit more room for error with silica? I'll get some to try it out...

    rebuildables! I said i wouldn't... but I did.

OK - so here's what has happened since my last post - perhaps I can get some guidance: First, I tried the included wick and coil for my first build. It was an awful build. It worked however, but still got the same metallic-y taste I found in the prebuilt coil (and yes, I washed it out before I...

    rebuildables! I said i wouldn't... but I did.

I realize i have to plan my build. I tend to research quite a bit before doing anything. Had planned on doing a 32g single coil build (I'll try dual coil later - right now it's atop a Provari, so it makes it a bit less fun then with a mech). Perhaps before i build a DC I'll see what this hype is...

    rebuildables! I said i wouldn't... but I did.

Oh, and FYI, the unit is very well built and looks like a quality piece, clone or not.

Some say it still benefits from drilling, but i find the airflow pretty good. I definitely understand it's an advanced device and i have no issue tinkering with it - but wanted to be sure a decent wick and coil would yield a better result - ie - no metallic taste.

    rebuildables! I said i wouldn't... but I did.

So I was really ok with my twist - said no way to anything heavy, big, or really odd looking. Then i got my Provari. Then i said carto tanks are the end all for me. Well, i still love them - but now trying my hand with an Ithaka clone (iSmoka Magoo-S... really guys? Magoo?) My question is...
