If it is tight when trying to slide the glass, then the gasket is to dry, you need to lube the gasket or it will bunch up. If lubed properly and slide up slow you should not have any problems, wipe up any extra lube once it is closed up.

Leaking at the seam has been a known issue for the Boxxer for some time, a bit of teflon plumbers tape will help reduce the leaking. The developer, last I heard, was working on a complete redesign for it as none of the fixes he tried would stop the leaking completely.

Get a piece of ribbon and put in before putting in the battery, then just tuck in until you want to take out the battery. Ta Da no more problem, lol
