I have a VAMO as well and it was also my first APV. It's quite a good little device. As always, invest in a good charger (XTAR WP-2 is highly recommended), and good IMR batteries. It's a great device and it serves me well.
It's really not as bad as you think. Here is the list of known juices. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tanks/219179-lets-make-list-juices-flavors-crack-tanks-ce2s-clearos-30.html Maybe 100 juices out of what I would say are thousands?
I know that some clearomizer tanks are fine with liquids that traditionally damage tanks (vivi novas for example). What about the splitfire? Will it be damaged by High Desert Vapes honeysuckle liquid?
That's a pretty long time to have it sit. If you have a drip tip tank you could try that. Otherwise order new liquid. I second zuzette's recommendation of Mt Baker Vapor!
Like rcpdude said, it's most likely a dehydration issue. Propylene Glycol (one of the primary ingredients in e-juice) absorbs large quantities of water. I tend to go through a few more glasses of water a day than I used to. You can also look in to getting full vegetable glycerin juice!
