New wick should come intact with no fibers in the baggie. Before you start building make sure the cut piece of wick is free from little frays and fibers to make things easier for you. When coiling the wire around the wick, don't coil it so tight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

Try to heat the wire before you wrap it around the wick. Don't wrap it to the point where the fibers break. Just snug enough. Be gentle LOL hope this helps!

My build is usually .32 4/5 wrap on 3mm silica with 2 folds and i come up with .8ohms. It depends on how you build. I wrap my wire tight and the spacing between coils is pretty close together.
