agreed. you can also try drilling a tiny hole in the skirt. The Kanger t-2 (not sure where to get, sorry) has holes drilled in and I hear they draw easier. I haven't had a reason to purchase any, though as I love my Clearomizers.

I just got my first ones of these yesterday. They are the 2.1-2.4 ohm 1.6ml version with the longer wicks. I have filled one with Basic juice (100% VG), and let it sit, when I vape, I get that slightly dry/burned taste I used to get when my atomizer (pre cartomizer usage) was dry. Not always...
