I think that the first time I initially filled the carto, the guy had me just fill it up, without making sure to not put drops in the center hole, so i thinkthat some drops most likely did go through that hole.

and I am actually visually impaired, so that is why i was asking you how many drops you would typically use. it's difficult for me to see the liquid or absence of liquid inside the cartomizer

oh and I am using approx. 4.0 volts

i am filling it by dropping about 10 drops into it, but I'm not certain that I started by correctly filling the carto in the first place to the right level. so i am considering starting fresh with a new carto... so how many drops would you say i should put in to get the carto started? and then...
