I had a similar experience and I fixed it by doing the following:
- 80/20 pg/vg
- rewicked with 100% cotton yarn
- drink more water
- vaped less until the soreness went away.
Of these four things, I think that rewicking with cotton truly was the problem. I recently got a brand new clearo and...
I'm using the Spinner and Kanger T3. The batts are working fine, but I'd like to try to find a better delivery system that's not so fiddly to work with. I'm still researching, as of course, there's no real consensus on this stuff. I'd like to not blow a bunch of cash on something that sucks.
I thought I'd add more information on my experiences thus far with vaping (still hate the term, but it's so handy, I started using it).
Kanger T3s
As it has been my only clearomizer so far (can't afford get get different ones yet) I've been working to try to get them to vape more consistently...
I was in the same boat as you, so I wrote up a post on my decision making process here:

On a side note, the Kanger T3s are fiddly to get working right consistently all the time...
On the T3, if you blow through an assembled tank that's flooding, you will blow out a bunch of juice left in the tank.
There are a few things to note about the T3, as it's been my only tank so far.
- Try different juice viscosities. A thicker juice may not leak
- Hold it nearly horizontal...
Also if you're using a graduated cylinder instead, make sure to measure using the meniscus (the middle of the cylinder) rather than the part at the edge of the cylinder.
I've been doing the following with my Kanger T3s. Buy 100% cotton yarn from walmart, $2. Remove all wicking from T3. Thread 2 strings from yarn through existing coil using sewing needle. Lay full strand of yarn on top of coil/wick (4 strands). Trim. Attach and let soak for about 30 minutes...
I wasted about 100 bucks on cigalikes before finding this forum. I then proceeded to spend about 200 bucks on two spinner bats, two clearos, and enough diy juice to last me a year. I'll probably reward myself at the 2 month mark with something nice, like a provari, or some different heads to...
These things have to be cleaned and dry burned regularly, like, after 1-2 tanks. The color/flavor you're seeing is likely some gunk on the coil/wick that is leeching back through the wick and into the liquid. I have 7 heads that I rotate and rewick regularly each time I refill a tank.
Don't worry about it, and don't feel guilty if you run out of juice and need to buy a pack of logs to tide you over. I did the same thing starting up, and the day I got my shipment, I started vaping again and so I have two packs of logs just sitting on the shelf unused. No need to guilt yourself.
I've only owned 2 kanger t3s so far, but they are a bit touchy. With some finagling they can work just fine. I've also been trying to read up on alternative delivery systems, but there is so much information out there, and it seems that everyone who pops in says that their solution is the best...
Walmart carrys the stuff, the brand is called peaches and cream. I didn't recoil, as the coils appeared to be working fine. I just pulled the old wick out, got 2 strands of cotton (the yarn has 4 strands), threaded them through a sewing needle, threaded that through the existing coil, put a...
