imo the 401 is not a very good beginner model. it has good battery life but the cartridges have to be replaced often. you risk getting liquid in your mouth if you overfill. you have to learn to do the primer puff. the draw is harder than other models. you have to take real good care of the...

the original atomizers that it comes with are hit and miss. i realized the only way to get a good, reliable working one is to use an 801 atty. after a while, the i start to taste a hint of the plastic from my cart.

Actually no, ruyan pricing + shipping is about the same as the kits you would get here. In some cases, the kits here are more. This is only assuming that the OP only gets the kit. They will most likely take advantage of their juices...

you can mod the 401 carts. i don't like my 401 because the draw is a bit harder than i would like it to be

you should have no problems if you keep the cart topped off. it might get a little hot when it runs dry
