    Looking for new setup

Ok, so first a little background. I'm an old member here but I haven't posted in awhile. I am a former smoker and a former full time vaper I quit cigarettes and started vaping in 2013. At the time carto tanks were very popular and i used them almost exclusively for almost a year. In that...

My quest to quit vaping (continued)

For those of you that are on a high level of nicotine, like 24mg. You'd be surprised how easy it is to step down. Just do it in small increments. And do it at your own pace. I was lucky enough to have a local store that could mix juice in any strength I wanted. I didn't have to choose...

My quest to quit vaping (continued)

Hey everybody, I'm back (I'm the original poster) I thought I'd post a little update. I've been off the e cig since oct 15th, and things are going very well. I talked about the 3 day hump in my first post. I had decided to stop at 6mg and I thought I wouldn't experience any physical...

My quest to quit vaping (continued)

I understand what your analogy means, but a caffeine addiction isn't the same as a nicotine addiction. Nicotine is far more addictive, and the withdrawals are far more intense and miserable than any caffeine withdrawal. Trust me, I just went through it 5 days ago. Now you made another very...

My quest to quit vaping (continued)

Some of you might remember a thread I posted a few weeks ago. It was titled "My Quest to Quit Vaping" I basically told my story, and it seemed to be a pretty popular thread. It ended up going 4 pages. This is a sequel to that thread. When I left off on the last thread, I was vaping 8mg...

    My quest to quit vaping

Well guys, i quit! I haven't picked up an ecig since Monday. I'm currently on day 3 with no nicotine, and it's going pretty well. Day one was horrible. I had physical cravings for most of the day, but i pushed through it. As of today the physical cravings are gone. I still have metal...

    My quest to quit vaping

I completely agree. Every day before I leave for work, I have this mental checklist of things I need to bring with me. Provari, carto tank, sometimes a backup carto tank, and extra batteries. I'm tired of charging batteries, I'm tired of punching and priming cartos. It's not that it's too...

    My quest to quit vaping

Some of you might recognize me. I haven't been very active on the forum lately. I started vaping in December 2012, and completely quit cigarettes in January 2013. At first I didn't want to quit vaping. I was vaping 18mg liquid and I had no plans to quit. I was using it as a substitute for...

    Carto cleaning kit?

I wouldn't even bother. I tried boiling cartos in my early vaping days. I was able to get them clean, but the coil has such a short lifespan, it's not worth it. Your not going to revive a junky coil by cleaning it.

Got to work and discovered that...

I used to keep an ego setup at work for emergency purposes. But I've lowered my nic level enough to where i don't really "NEED" it. Try weening yourself off. You'd be surprised how good it feels to not have nic fits all the time.

    Getting tired of vaping...

You are a "success story" in every sense of the phrase! Don't feel bad about vaping less or even wanting to give up vaping. For some it's simply an alternative to cigarettes, and for others it's a means to an end. Personally, I want to quit also. I'm tired of charging batteries, I'm tired of...

Got the "antifreeze" argument again today

Thanks for all the positive replies everybody. I wish I could go back in time a few hours and tell him more of the stuff you guys brought up. I should also mention this guy is a "health nut" He considers himself a body builder even though he is probably 100lbs overweight. He drinks several...

Got the "antifreeze" argument again today

So I'm at work today, and i was just coming inside from my vape break because e cigs were recently banned inside the facility. A Co worker, who is a well known smoking nazi approaches me and says, "How was the antifreeze?" I gave him a puzzled look as if i didn't know what he was talking...

    Two Stories...

It's amazing how bad burning tobacco tastes when you have fully functioning taste buds. As with everybody here i used to think cigarettes and cigars tasted awesome. Not so much anymore. I was at a dog park today and 75% of the adults were smoking. I didn't even have my provari with me...

Do you ever crave this bad?

A lot of the craving is mental. If I'm at work and busy, i find that i can go hours without even a hint of a craving. But if my hands are idle, i can get the urge several times an hour. I think a lot of people here have convinced themselves that they are hopelessly addicted to nicotine...

    Different Heads?

I've found i always have to dial down the voltage with protank heads. I know the burnt taste you speak of. Try starting a head out low and working your way up. I like my 2.5 heads at about 4v. Anything higher tastes burnt

Boba's Bounty...What's All The Fuss About!

I have a sample bottle that i bought 8 months ago. I didn't care for it. It's not bad. But it reminds me of pipe tobacco too much. I'm also not a fan of 100% vg liquids either. Come to think of it, i don't like anything from alien vision for that reason.

Okay - Tell Me About Carto-Tanks

I almost exclusively use carto tanks. Your carto tank experience will all depend on the cartomizer you use inside of it. You have three major brands to choose from. Boges, Smoktech, and Ikenvape. I have used all three, with mixed results. I have had cartomizers from all three brands that...

    Vaping banned at work today
