What could possibly be shorting after firing?

A hard short is kind of hard to do imo, I've only had it happen once and then it was gone. Sometimes the coil will short to the wick causing a low ohm situation but it should still fire it for a second before that happens. 1 more reason why I love mechanicals.

What Flavor Are you Vaping Right Now?

Tropic monkey at 20watts in the Igo!

What could possibly be shorting after firing?

Is the wick oxidized? Do you have another device you can test it on? Even an ego batt will work.

What could possibly be shorting after firing?

Shouldn't matter, both wick hole and tank are grounded. I use unoxidized wicks touching both and no shorts on the tesla even though I don't use it on there. If the wick is touching the top post then that might be a problem.

AGA-T2 stem replacement specs here (and a .2Ω drop)

Not a bad idea, now I'm thinking of doing this with a brass screw :D

    The First Coil

Silica wicks are easy to wrap, ss is where the problems start happening.

What do you keep your gear in?

I can't stand chrome or polished anything, too difficult to keep clean :/

    I want a new mod?

I've been vaping for about 2 months and have been using a mechanical and rba's for about 3 weeks and haven't touched my vvvw device except to check batteries and ohms lol.

"Looking for advice," he says, sweetly.

The most obvious I could suggest is an ego twist battery, that will let you explore variable voltage for around $20. I have mechanical mods that I use sub 1ohm coils and a tesla that doesn't even get used anymore but my ego twist and boge low res cartos in cheap smoktech tanks are my go to for...

Could this be a viable wick material?

Everything probably has lead in it including your devices and rbas, cartos, everything. ..

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

I think the agat2 and agat+ Are the same thing just a diff name depending on the vendor, if so I don't think its 1/8th in

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

High speeds with ss is a nono. Your bit will overheat and loose its sharpness in no time. I used a 18v drill on the slow speed with lots of pressure and passed for about 10 sec 3 Times while drilling but I also went one size above 1/8in to 3/32 I believe.

First hybrid setup on new Igo-L

I should hope so with all that wick stuffed in there lol. I'm using doubled 3mm silica at .8 ohms and it's pretty good but coils are inconsistant as far as tension and stuff.

First hybrid setup on new Igo-L

I may have to try this when its time to rewick and I have all the same materials as you do lol.

Could this be a viable wick material?

I have no clue but there's a grainger next to my work and I was thinking if going by and picking up a brass rod and if they have something like this ill pick it up and give it a test.

IGO-L Rebuildable Stainless Steel Dripping Atomizer Anyone have one of these?

Yeah me too, I wish I would have seen it before cuz I would have just drilled a second small hole above it.
