Best advice I ever read is pdib's post on hotspots caused by topcoil tension (keep adjusting coil from wick to center post making sure it's not digging into the wick, and make sure it's not too loose). Once I got the hang of it I no longer use washers, no more kinks or folding over the topcoil...

Regarding battery drain...will a single coil and dual coil (in series) with both set at 1 ohm, drain the battery at the same rate or will a dual coil drain the same battery faster?

QZI Megatron hybrid mod 18350 also comes with a 510 connection so you can use other 510 devices. In hybrid mode it makes you really want to use a dual wick because the topcap comes with 2 airholes (adjustable!) you can align for each wick position. Stupid photoelectric sensors in the smoke detectors...I tripped one at home while cackling with my first successful sub ohm AGA T setup (detector was right above my pc desk) and quickly lost my vape inside the home privileges by the wifey....vaping gods giveth then take them away.

Just in case...smoke detectors also have a photoelectric sensor. If vapor/steam clouds get in between that sensor (it does not care if it's smoke or vapor) the fire alarm will go off...still in the doghouse because of that...my home pc desk is right underneath that stupid thing and chain vaping...

Try 'pulsing' it until all coils glow evenly, don't hold down switch more than 1 sec while pulsing with no liquid in tank. Try not to use a freshly charged batt. Use your backup PV to chain vape if you start getting frustrated. Best of luck to you.
