I like the Serpent Mini for a compact, single coil option. Dead easy to build/wick, with great flavor. Not my all day carry due to capacity (2ml), but may fit the bill for you. The two I have are used at home when wanting to change up the flavor for a while.

Beadalon wire is all coated and/or painted. Even the silver wire has clearcoat on most of what I saw. Having used Temco for years, never been disappointed.

Haven't twisted wire in quite a while. When I did, it was via drill. Had the same springy results. Moved to a lower gauge (thicker) wire and/or Claptons. For spinning up claptons, still use a drill.

For me, the biggest advantage to TC is the option to throw as much power at a coil as needed for zero ramp up time. The coil heats up quickly and does not overheat. It has also saved me once or twice when I forgot to open the JFC after filling a tank. Last but not least battery efficiency. Once...
