Thank you again Douggro. Good analogy with the light bulb. I have rebuilt lots of coils but only use Kanthal. The VCT coils do use 304 SS That must be the difference. Didn't notice that until you brought it to my attention. Thanks

Thanks Douggro. I just assumed that resistance was resistance regardless of material used. The difference in wraps and wire guage also applies too. The thinner the wire, the more wraps is needed to lower resistance. The thicker the wire, the less wraps needed to achieve the same resistance...

Can anyone tell me why the difference in recommended wattage is so great between coils of the same ohm (o.3) . Atlantis V2 coils say 0.3 ohm = 60 to 80 watts Smok VCT coils say 0.3 ohm = 15 to 25 watts I thought the lower the ohm's the higher the wattage needed. Am I wrong in my thinking...

Thanks AndriaD for posting this. Not to jack this thread, but I have had Tinnitus since I started vaping three years ago. I have pretty much learned to ignore it. I have tried lowering my nic. level to no avail. Will now see about lower or no pg mixes.

My advise is to read everything you can on this DIY forum. You will gain a wealth of knowledge here. The experts here got me on the right path and I haven't looked back. Also helped to watch a lot of YouTube videos on how to mix diy liquid.
