GP Series by VapourArt - Official Thread for GP Spheroid, GP PAPS, X, GP Piccolo, GP SnP and more - Part 1

Does anyone know where I could get GP Spheroid v2 Base Cap? One of the base caps on my spheroids has bad threads and does not catch properly when screwing into some of my mods. The V2 base caps are always out of stock in VaporArt.

Ekowool sheath for stainless steel wick for AGA-T2. SS rope ?

I use ekowool on my SS rope wicks as a sleeve. Just makes it very easy to hand wrap my coil. I only use the ekowool sleeve to cover the coil (less than a half inch usually). Also - I have found that performance (TH,V & F) of the ekowool is surprisingly very good.

Problem with vertical wicking - 7/19 SS Cable, 3/32in, single wrap 500 mesh.

I only use the 7/7. I have had better results (even with more VG based juices) with it. Only other suggestions would be to remove a few strands from you rope (make ie a 7/17) and maybe this will allow better wicking on the thicker juice. Also. Make sure that you are not plugging too much SS mesh...

    DGDC (dual gauge, dual coil)

Pdid - you are as mad as a bucket of spiders!!! But, just imagine the numbers of ECF members around the world who will be trying the 'two noses' phenomenon!!

Problem with vertical wicking - 7/19 SS Cable, 3/32in, single wrap 500 mesh.

Did you remove the cord within the SS rope after you cut it? Did you torch your SS rope before building your setup? When I did these things, my SS rope worked really well - vertically!

    What's up with wicks?

You are not a nice person pdid. You will never get to heaven for winding people up . . . . LOL!

    What's up with wicks?

Apologies! I did not read the posts thoroughly enough - shame on me! Well spotted pdid! I am glad that you did ask the question - if you are going to give advice' make sure that it is accurate!!!

    Aga T2 metallic taste

Taste is usually weak for a tank or maybe 2 depending upon the type of juice you use. I would not put any juice in the tank until you have a proper even coil. From your photo, you definitely have a hotspot to the top +ve post. If you have a mechanical mod, have you tried pulsing? Pulsing the...

    What's up with wicks?

Not sure where you read "checking for hotspots" pdid? I read the posts on this thread and did not see anyone checking for hotspots on non conductive material. I mentioned hotspots can be an issue when using SS rope for the first time - is that what you are referring to? Sorry if I have...

    What's up with wicks?

I have used SS Rope in my Cobra. Obviously this works best in genesis style RBA's. Pros -- No rolling Great TH, flavor and vapor Last forever Wicks really well (surprisingly) no tilting Very inexpensive Cons -- Can be hard to setup and eliminate hotspots (this can be easy fix if your cover the...

    Aga T2 metallic taste

It could be, but most times the hot leg is caused by either the top leg being too loose or too tightly wrapped. Make sure that the coils are definitely glowing evenly and that they glow hot at the same time. Also make sure your wick is NOT touching the base inside the tank. My only tip would be...

rsst problem with lack of vapour

You should be closer to 2ohm if you are using 32 gauge wire on a wick that fits snug into the RSST. My advice would be to strip down the RSST. There has to be a bad connection there somewhere. I would strip it down, give it a good cleaning and rebuild the device making sure all has tightened up...

GP Series by VapourArt - Official Thread for GP Spheroid, GP PAPS, X, GP Piccolo, GP SnP and more - Part 1

Can anyone tell me when the next batch of Spheroids will be available from vapourart.com? Been waiting for a long time to order a second Spheroid. Best vape I have had in 2.5 years!!!

    Genesis Atomizer

Have you tried pulling the wick closer to the positive post then pulling the wire/ coil. Or you could double twist the wire of the top leg to the positive post? One other trick is to put a kink in the positive leg i.e. keep the wire on the wick as much as possible then put in a kink to return...

    genesis type advice

Depends if you are a noob or have experience with the genesis style RBA's. If you are experienced I would suggest the AGA T2. It is a workhorse, when setup right. If you are a noob, then I would suggest the RSST. It is easier to set up than the AGA T2 imho!

    Fail!!!

We all understand your frustrations CrazyIvan. Been there (sometimes going back there), done that and had the headache. Start from scratch. If you are getting muted flavor, then there is something wrong with your setup. Muted flavor to me usually comes from the mesh (either shorting from the...

just bought a cobra (clone) from fast tech, did i make mistake?

Sorry dude - should have been basHing & bumping from driving around or bad handling. When I am out I usually have a bolt and a clone, so if I drop it or loose it, I will not be too worried!

I always used 500 mesh cut 40mm x 70mm wide and rolled solid. Mesh is pre-oxidixed with a torch. The wick needs to be relatively loose in the wick hole. Using the Petar K method - made coil with 4/5 wraps of 30g Kanthal or 0.5 x 0.1 Ribbon wire which usually gets me to 1.3 - 1.7 ohms range (I...
